I haven't read anything in this thread, but I'm still shocked that Clinton beat Sanders. I am only in high school, but I have never met another student or teacher who supported Clinton. Her supporters are basically supporters of Sanders who just don't like Trump. I dislike both Clinton and Trump and I fear for the future of our country with either of them in charge.

No, Colby when he was being grilled asked for the proof. He received it the next day.

We did look into those 30,000 missing Clinton Emails. No charges. No crime.
That is the truth, by definition.

Why didn't we look into this?

"On April 12, 2007, towards the end of Bush's second term, the White House, responding to congressional demands for emails in connection with its investigation into the partisan firing of eight U.S. attorneys, announced that as many as five million emails, covering a two-year span, had been lost.

The emails had been run through private accounts controlled by the Republican National Committee and were only supposed to be used for dealing with non-administration political campaign work to avoid violating ethics laws. Yet congressional investigators already had evidence private emails had been used for government business, including to discuss the firing of one of the U.S. attorneys. The RNC accounts were used by 22 White House staffers, including then-Deputy Chief of Staff Karl Rove, who reportedly used his RNC email for 95 percent of his communications.

As the Washington Post reported, "Under federal law, the White House is required to maintain records, including e-mails, involving presidential decision-making and deliberations." But suddenly millions of the private RNC emails had gone missing; emails that were seen as potentially crucial evidence by Congressional investigators."

Not a whisper from you guys on that. Not even a peep, but suppose the Democratic Congress had spent the next 5 years investigating them at enormous taxpayer expense, come up with nothing, and still insisted "crimes" had been committed. Surely, the Bush White House wasn't guilty of anything. Surely, this was just a careless mistake.

Well, flip that, and here we are.

You'll (hopefully) learn, as you get older, that people have been saying this for years.

People feared for the country when Bill Clinton got elected.
People feared for the country when George W. Bush got elected.
People feared for the country when Barack Obama got elected.

It'd be great if people stopped fearing so damn much, and starting actually thinking.

For example, my dad used to work with a guy that was worried because Barack Obama had a day 1 piece of legislation, waiting to be signed as soon as he walked into the Oval Office, that would immediately outlaw all handguns. In the 7+ years he's been president, how many guns of any sort has Barack Obama outlawed? (zero is the answer, if you didn't know)

I've read an email conversation my boss had with someone sharing their fears that the US Democratic Party was in the first stages of a 150 year plan to create a 1-government world that they would rule.

I guess my point is, you're 17/18... stop listening to other people's fears, and think about what actually makes sense.

Breaking rules you can reasonably claim you didn't know you were breaking does not constitute a crime.
This is basically what FBI Director Comey said when announcing the decision not to pursue charges over the matter, and again when grilled by Congress over that decision shortly after.

This was their Plan B.
It failed.
Naturally, they are upset about it.
Add it to the list of the things they are upset about.
It's a great big one...

The evidence didn't lead to charges with Bush as it did with Hillary. The Bush administration had two email accounts, one for official government business and another for Republican National Committee business. What is happening now to Clinton is completely different from 2007.

She was the head of a government department, she was a cabinet secretary and under the Obama administration guidelines and the State Department guidelines of 1995, 2009, and 2013, say any government business has to be done on an official government account.

Secretary Clinton is not accused of mixing private and official email. She basically only used private email, and never used State Department email.

For the first time in my life, I am dreading voting. I've always voted in every election, presidential or not. Right now I am leaning towards the libertarian candidate Gary Johnson.

Why do people vote if they don't like any of the candidates? Just to vote their party?
