I don't know that they are comparable. I think the Robinson Cano comparison is more accurate. Which is awesome.

Maybe power wise, but Moncada has 89 steals in 158 minor league games. Cano never ran like that. Moncada also has much better plate discipline than Cano (although he does strike out a lot more).

I think it was more predicated on his swing and stature, also position wise. Yoan is more athletic, almost compatible to Puig. I wish he was Trout, but I would settle for a Cano/Puig type with more upside for sure.

Yeah, agreed. Obviously, if you have a guy in AA and someone with a crystal ball says he'll be as good as Cano, you'd take it in a heartbeat. I just think his ceiling is even higher. Guy is amazing. Can't wait. Hope they don't trade him.

Red Sox farm system is doing quite well in the various levels of Minor League baseball's Futures Game and Triple A All-Star games activities.

Sunday night Moncada took home the MVP Trophy for the Futures game and last night in Charlotte, Chris Marrero won the Triple A HR Derby with 18 HR in the final round beating out Kyle Jensen from the Diamondbacks organization.

When you step back and look at the prospects we have that are currently playing at such a high level regardless of where they are playing (Moncada, Devers, Benintendi, Travis & Dubon) it's pretty damn amazing just what we have to look forward too and add to the likes of Betts, Xander, JBJ and Swihart.

The Sox desperately need to add another arm to the rotation and could quite possibly do that and not have to give up more that 1 of the players mentioned above.

I bet Devers, Kopesch, Chavis, and Marrero are enough for the SP that's available. Don't know if it's worth it or not, but DD could do it and keep most of the top guys. Now if we're talking the guys who "aren't avaialble" like Jose Fernandez, Chris Sale, etc, then the top guys gotta go.

It would be nice if they can put a package together to get Teheran from Atlanta, he is open to being traded to Boston according to reports but will take a group of prospects that I would imagine would include Devers at a minimum.

I liked him a lot. Too much. Not sure if I should dump, or wait. I guess the damage is done. Might as well hold.

The rotation is pretty left handed all of the sudden. Kopesch is the only RH in the system now that is close. All the pieces Cherington cherished are suddenly not so cherished lol.
