Default bgs slabs

Hi, I have a question for all. If a company was to make a case that was similar to a bgs slab would you use it?

I know people (such as myself) That don't really value Beckett's grading opinion as highly as others but like to get cards slabbed for the look and protection. If there was a similar alternative but without the grade tags would it be used by many? Would it take business from Beckett themselves?

I know between the top loader and magnet cases I have aalways wanted a good alternative.

Thoughts?

There are definitely some companies that allow you to slab a card and write pretty much anything on the label. Unfortunately, some people will write "Gem Mint 10"

I was not aware of this. But is it a cheaper alternative than grading or relatively the same price?

Beckett authenticates cards without grading them (blue label). I personally stay far away from anything that was slabbed but not graded because it leads me to believe something is wrong with the card and it wouldn't grade very high.

I have seen this but you pay their fees. I think there should be a pack of slabs you should be able to purchase for a reasonable price basically.

I could see a market as a storage medium. It would allow you to seal the card in a slab to fully protect it, like a magnetic but it would have to sell at a lower price point than the magnetic to be feasible. If they were available at the cheaper price point, I can see storing my higher end cards with them, as I don't grade.

My question is, how did nobody take the username, "bowman" before now?

Wouldn't you need your own sonic welder to actually seal these types of holders? Those don't come cheap.

As everyone knows, I'm the naive one around here. I tend not to be skeptical and typically assume everyone has the best of intentions. But, is it just me or does this thread really have a shady feel to it?

Less than $2k.
You can make that in a day with the right cards
