Spurs once again show they can't compete when the game gets too tough.... I don't mean hard, I mean physically tough.

Everytime Kawhi has had the ball this series, Roberson has been all over him with a pushing forearm to the body. Adams, Ibaka and Kanter learned quickly that they can push a lot more with the body and out-toughed Aldridge since game 3. Adams came up HUGE by toughing out the boards.

Well done OKC, Spurs ain't coming back from this. Even Roberson is lighting it up, we are cooked!

Hope they take it to GSW! I will be a bandwagon Thunder fan from next round on!

Does everyone think the Spurs are being out coached? I certainly don't believe that. Pop can't coach age; Duncan, Manu, Parker and Diaw have shown their age. They're being outrun of the gym and couldn't keep up for the life of them. I mean look at their scoring outputs and look at Duncan's mpg as well as their other stars (besides green and kawhi). They just don't have it... You've got Aldridge and kawhi, maybe green, against Durant, westbrick, serge, kanter and Adams. The Spurs have put up a great fight and they can't win title every year without being exhausted. They've been to the playoffs for like the past 20 years? Think of the minutes on Duncan, Parker and ginobli at that age. It's insane

I don't recognize this brand of Spurs basketball. At all.

I agree. Donovan hasn't done anything as far as adjustments. OKC are winning from Heart, Hustle and Age. They just worked harder!

Pop clearly did not get outcoached. In fact, he is still the best coach in the league by putting a age 40 player on the game. He stretched so much on each player to reach over their limits. The problem is that, these players limits are capped due to age or due to talent.

Remember, Duncan is 40. Manu is like broken. Tony Parker is no longer a top 5 PG. Danny Green is d-league pickup. Kawhi would get zero DPOY if he plays in Indiana.

If not Pop, you think these group of players will get 65+ wins? Give some credits to Pop and to Spurs players because they really did more than what they look on the paper.

Agree,

looking fwd to next year with Kawhi, Lamarcus and Horford (???)

Also, some backups with size (West and Diaw just don't cut it) and a defensive back up PG (CoJo would have been nice at times this series) would help

Marc Jackson and this board need to STOP with this Father time nonsense.

The Father Time Spurs won 67 games this season. Stop it. OKC was THE matchup that is bad for thim. Athletically, it's tough regardless if the Spurs were in their prime. Granted, this is a 7 game series. Give me another 7 game series and it coud be totally different. That's the beauty of basketball.

What was the purpose of rest and limited minutes? If age is the factor, we are just in the second round. What did they expect vs the Warriors? Vs the Cavs? Last year was a first round exit. We can point to age but haven't we done that for 10 years already? I think when you have a team that seems to have switched identities during a series you have to look at the coaching. Pop seems to get a pass which is good for him. Getting out rebounded by almost 20 is not an age thing, that's an effort thing. That's a putting west and Diaw out there thing. The motivation just isn't there and the adjustments never came.

Wow! Upset of the playoffs! The Spurs were considered an all time great NBA team this year and they go down in the 2nd round. Who saw that coming? Not many. Sad to see Duncan go out this way, but he's definitely enjoyed his fair share of success. It's not like the guy is retiring without a championship, lol.

Very happy for Durant. Go Thunder!

Had Westbrook not made that steal on Leonard - they would be up by less than 10. Still plenty of time. Durant needs to step up big - 2 more buckets should seal the game

I agree with a poster above. For the last 3-4 seasons, the Thunder has been a terrible matchup for the Spurs. Spurs execution plan is still the same, the problem is that the level of physicality and athleticism is so different and the Spurs can't overcome that gap.

OKC still has the same problems as the last few years: bad bench, bad coach and too much ISO. If anything, them getting this far just shows how great KD and Russ are.

Durant with a huge dunk. Adams is so clutch with these boards

My god. If the Spurs somehow pull this out, this will be one of the biggest choke jobs I've ever seen.
