I give him credit for one thing in life, his autograph is actually really nice looking.

If the reality checks of here Johnny Manziel's agent Drew Rosenhaus: Go to rehab - CNN.com and here Johnny Manziel Accused of Trashing West Hollywood Mansion He Rented During Party | Bleacher Report (among everything else that could be linked here) don't make you realize it definitely isn't wise to continue investing in Manziel, I don't don't what else could.
Honest, without my reading this thread, but your title, absolutely yes; it would be an absolute mistake to waste money investing in Manziel now. I still laugh at the ppl that blew a load on Manziel cards early on.. I held back confidently, while others spent thousands for some of his cards. He has much deeper issues personally, which is currently is severe substance abuse, with basically unlimited funds at his disposal. I don't know how much how his parents care about him, but if you've researched, his parent's combined are worth about $50 million, plus the 5 plus million plus Manziel has made. He's set financially, but he doesn't seem have any support to change his lifestyle, even defying his father's wishes for him to take rehab seriously. I honestly knew the guy was a bust after never having a chance against LSU's D, yet Alabama fans couldn't wait to see him gone, after causing them nightmares. LOL.. seriously though, all the signs of bust was there for him, except for the people that didn't do their actual research on another spread QB such as him. The guy just did NOT have the mindset to be leader like a Brady, Brees, Rodgers, and/or Peyton Manning. The comparisons to players like Steve Young and Frank Tarkernton were absolute hype, generated by media, for everyone to soak up. It's always your best best to do your own research on players and not solely rely on media analysts' predictions.. then you probably would have seen that it wasn't a waste of talent that Manziel gave up, but rather he just didn't have the talent, or mindset, (very important) to make it any way. Either way, it's your choice in the end if you want to buy up his cards.. lol. Last edited by ForTheQuinn94; 04-17-2016 at 06:12 AM. |

You should totally grab as much as you can! Definitely pick up some Asa Watson as well... Nah, leave JM alone and try to sell what you can while people still remember his name.

lol, I don't want to harp on it, but agreed..
Manziel needs to worry about saving his own life, nothing else.. believe me, he isn't just "immature and partying" now. Anyone that followed him closely knew he had a real problem though, and ESPECIALLY towards the end of his college career (mindset plus his antics). It's life or death for this kid as of now.. sadly, all we can do is just sit back and wait. Hopefully his parents step in and actually do something. Then again, some people actually think the kid doesn't have a serious problem, and is just "living the dream." How naive of them. Wait and see I tell them. Hopefully Manziel recovers. Yeah, his A&M stuff will hold more value than his pro stuff. He's one of those guys that his pro stuff won't be looked for (unless he signs for the Cowboys) as much as his college stuff. The guy was a big time star, a Heisman winner, and did it at a big program. A&M fans and Heisman collectors will look more for his college stuff.

Asa Watson still has a career in pro sports. He's part of a NASCAR pit crew.

I can totally see Manziel being collected in the future. Some people don't care about crimes or transgressions players commit, and focus on their performance on the field, and even then a very narrow slice of their performance. But I wouldn't buy now. As time goes by, camp starts, and he is or maybe isn't on a team, prices will continue to drop. If the season starts and he isn't on a team, maybe you find a couple nice things cheap, but they have to be really good deals. Then he fades away. A season goes by where he's left home. Prices bottom out. You buy, but only blue chip cards at flea market prices. Then next spring he announces he's completed rehab, is clean and sober, got a new outlook on life, found Jesus, whatever. All the people who held out 1% hope for him decide he's on his way back and his cards heat up. And to those dozen Aggies for whom Manziel is perpetually the 2013 version, you can sell for a nice profit.

I am currently of the opinion that its past parent intervention. I feel the only thing that is going to intervene at this point is a life threatening event, OD, car wreck, etc.. I hope he survives because the road hes on leads to a hole in a cemetery. |

Johnny now has a better chance of appearing on "Dancing with the Stars" than getting back into the NFL.

I'd say barring a rehab and total change of mindset miracle, his pro career is pretty much over after this.
Rosenhaus officially terminates contract with Johnny Manziel https://twitter.com/AdamSchefter/sta...60086061260800

Manziel Hopes to 'Take Care of Issues,' Play in 2016 via ble.ac/teamstream- What a joke. Guy was partying with Josh Gordon at Coachella. May be getting your head checked would be a better idea. Hope the gutter is big enough for then both. |
