This is better than those La Mole covers. At least the art for the gwen pool is new artwork.

People don't have to buy it if they don't want to. i never preach the "what I collect is better than what you collect" mentality. There are OA collectors and there are variant collectors who do like rarity. Manufactured or not.
Not trying to be preachy. Other people can spend their money however they see fit.

I collect sketch cards, sketch covers, sketches, comic pages, trading card art, prelims and other OA. Printed comics and cards, action figures and statues, etc... will always be a secondary collection for me, and very focusd. But to each their own.

Is anyone interested in a group order on these? I can order them and then ship them to you out of Indy either 1. Raw, 2. Graded, 3. Signed & Graded later this spring.. If there's enough interest, I'll start up a thread

If you wanna order direct from Paris: PRECOMMANDE GWENPOOL N°1 PCE - PULP'S COMICS EXCLUSIVE VARIANT COVER

ebay would probably be a better alternative though.

Last year..no. This year..yes. I'm very selective now about which books I purchase. When it comes to cover art, I prefer the solo pinup girl look. These look amazing though, ive seen the pencil for them and there's no denying he's an amazing artist. Now if I could afford the original art, I would be all over this

Put aside between $5-$9K and you can get your hands on one of them.

But most likely, they will be sold as a bundle of 4 connecting covers. There are OCD collectors out there who do not want just one of them.

I hope he won't bundle up the block of 8 covers!

Really, I thought his covers go for like $15,000 and up? Still too much for me though.. maybe one day i'll sell every single collectible I own and buy one piece of original art

That was the amount for the Batman cover since he never did one.

As for the rest, his asking price is much lower and they normally got picked up as soon as it is being put up for sale. There is a line of vultures --- Oops, I meant collectors ---- waiting to snatch up whatever.

You don't have to sell off your entire collection just to own ONE item. Set your goal of obtaining one -- this would means, you would have to go COLD TURKEY on the stuff you see and read about.

It is hard -- but, if you can ignore BO posts for six months or so, you will save up by NYCC '16! But then again, if you spec well in the 6-months period, you can get one OA also!

Is there 8? When I checked MTC Previews for May, they only had regular and action figure variant covers for the second half.

Not a bad decision to jump in for a bundle --- I wonder if they gonna have the "sketch" variant?

And you sticking to your gun of "No, on this set?"

Yep.. the way JSC cranks out covers there's no way I can have them all. Im only chasing the more rarer books or books that I truly must have. Its an awesome piece though the way it wraps around.

They were available for pre-order at normal cover price $3-5. I think they are just a regular alternate cover..nothing crazy or special.

ebay would probably be a better alternative though.

Someone bought "50 copies" at one shot ... I guess there will be a lot of SS later on this year.

They are not as good as incentive variant but they are "a whole lot better" than Midtown or (any) Store Exclusives?
