2015 thread needs to die (take a hint playoff thread as well) so it's time to start a 2016 thread with signing day on February 3rd
Anyone want to post some thoughts before we talk about how insane the Ohio State recruiting class is?

That stuff gets creepier by the day. Climbing a tree now?
He's one hell of a coach, and a great recruiter, but he is one crazy loon

Go Hawks! Should be another good year. Glad Desmond King is returning for his senior year. Beathard is back, as well as Josey Jewell and a lot of key players.
We lose: a couple OL, Jordan Canzeri, Tevaun Smith, Henry Kreiger-Coble, Marshall Koehn, Jordan Lomax - but return a lot of key players so we should be good! Schedule: Add Michigan and @PSU and play NDSU instead of Indiana St in the Non-Conf. Home schedule is great: Iowa St, NDSU, Northwestern, Michigan, Wisconsin, Nebraska, and Miami OH Ready for another great year! Go Hawks!

Michigan is about to sign the #1 overall recruit and have the #1 overall recruiting class.
So we can talk about that as well. |

We can argue all day. I'm glad you're back from suspension so we can do so. The simple fact is that Michigan had a kick ass recruiting year... but adding Rashan Gary won't be enough for you to catch Ohio State after Monday.

I know. There are a couple other 4 stars he is working on as well. He just stayed at one of their houses. I don't know how that isn't a violation, but if it's legit, then more power to him. |

It's great that UM and tOSU have strong recruiting classes and we can look forward to some epic battles in the coming years - much better for both programs in the long haul. Crazy loon all day!

Looking forward to next season and looking forward to Michigan's improvement. I enjoy Harbaugh's antics. And I also think they're very calculated. It's certainly working to appeal to recruits.
As for recruiting, Michigan won't end up with the #1 class, even with Gary and some other last minute flips. Regardless, great class with or without any additional commitments. But, one thing Michigan State has proven over the last few years is that player development within the program is MORE important than recruiting rankings. Watching MSU throughout the season and especially in the Bama game, I'm really getting the sense that their run at the top has peaked and they'll be declining after 2015. They clawed their way to a handful of victories and hard to argue that luck didn't fall in the a favor a handful of times. Losing Narduzzi last offseason, there was a noticable drop in their defense. Cook and Burbridge leaving this season will hurt the offense quite a bit. |

Did you see him tweet last night to a bunch of the guys we just got that he'll "see us soon" Of course could be another visit but still. Michael Thomas was tweeting with him.

Could also be academics, too. All speculation at this point. I'm sure this will become a bigger deal than what it is. This happens on the regular elsewhere all of the time.

Sounds like Dredrick Snelson will likely flip his commitment from Minnesota. He is visiting with Penn State right before signing day and there are rumors that suggest he is either committing to Miami (was a verbal there before flipping to Minnesota), Maryland, or Penn State.
Even with that BIG loss, I think the Gophers still have had a decent recruiting class. Getting Seth Green committed and signed already was huge for the program at the QB position. ILB Carter Coughlin will likely be a 4 year starter in Minnesota and getting commitments from Phillip Howard, Tyler Johnson, Antoine Winfield Jr, Kiodre Thomas, and Kamal Martin were nice commitments. Howard, Johnson, and Martin will all likely be playing either WR or DB (Johnson best shot at DB) and Winfield and Thomas will fill in nicely in the defense against the pass, along with Winfield Jr. returning kicks and punts (Ran a 4.27 40 yard dash). I expect a bounce back season by the Gophers. They have a pretty soft schedule this season, aside from Penn State, Iowa, and Wisconsin (who is always solid). A 8-9 win season shouldn't be out of question. We have the defense to do it, just depends on if they make a QB switch or not and how Jay Johnson will do with play calling.

Michigan has lost a couple guys but this was expected. More room for others who are near locks to jump on board. 4* corner David Long picks between Michigan and Washington today. My money is on the maize and blue.
