Both loses too...if not for a bigger scrub manning would have no ring.

Cam Newton is basically Tim Tebow. ..newton sucks at qb but is given every chance to succeed. Carolina is undefeated but they are horrible and we all know will choke big in the playoffs.

If Tebow was black he would still be playing in the NFL...100%..

Teams prefer losing the "right" way than winning the wrong way.
NFL is full of #@#@#@#@ qbs
100% agree with all of it.

-i could see a collection of such players being more valuable on the whole versus the individual parts. Example: I briefly thought about putting together a collection of football players cards that was made up entirely of either convicted felons (see Aaron Hernandez) or guilty parties that bought their way out of serious punishment (see Ray Rice).

Never did it, but still think it's an interesting collection to pursue.

Yes, to complete sets

Yes, there's a market. A lot of those guys were legends in college so college collectors pay an okay price for them. You're not going to make a mint off of any of these guys, but it's more than your average scrub.

I believe so. I go out of my way to find some of these could've been/has beens. Kordell Stewart. Leaf. Ki Jana Carter. JaMarcus Russell(And soon manziel) I feel like they have interesting stories and collect certain players based on that.

In my search I saw a michael Vick 2001 spa auto rc go for $400.

I think niche cards like that have some "historical" in terms of card collecting card value.

When college collectors go up against set collectors, things can get carried away. Some say that book value is irrelevant because it overvalues cards - I've been involved in auctions that blow book value out of the water going up against, I assume, a set collector. They may not have necessarily been busts, but more like 5th round picks that somehow made their way into collectible releases.

And busts can be fun to chase for nostalgia's sake too. I love busting older product and pulling a Quincy Carter auto

Vick wasn't truly a "Bust" though... He came back in the league and played at a high level after being released from candy camp jail. He was just "BUSTED". LOL! I do think that his SPA Auto is an iconic card of sorts and it will always hover around the price it is now.... But it once was a whole lot more! But he was never truly a bust like Leaf, Boz and Jamarcus were.
