High end is pretty strong. Yesterday on Fanatics Weekly, a TC RASO Green hit $50K and a green transcendent framed /3 auto went for $34K.

Rookie autos don't slump.

I follow the low to medium end 2018 RC pretty closely. This is one of a few cards that is down. And this card seems to be the most volatile when Ohtani is on fire or in a slump.

Most base card 2018 RC have been going up in value.

This is why you stick to rookie year. 8 more years of "ultra-rare" high end cards being pumped out. 50/50 GU is one thing but there's no signs Topps is going to slow down with these exclusive sets every time Shohei breaks a record, which seems to be yearly.

I’m only spending real money on graded Chrome and flagship rookies and graded Chrome and flagship SPs/SSPs. I’m resisting the urge to buy every flashy new insert, like All Kings (which I do think look awesome), and I’m satisfying the collector bug by picking up sub $20 cards from my local’s Ohtani bin. Cheaper cards and inserts that fill up the binder that are fun to look at and easy on the wallet.

I limit my collection to 2018 RC cards in general. Why are you buying graded base 2018 flagship and chrome?

I decided to pick up another 2018 Bowman High tek pattern 8 RC. I feel like these cards are still flying under the radar. They have a print run around 20.

I’m not buying base graded. More like selling a few things here and there to very slowly complete a 2018 refractors “set” I’m working on.

Would also like the 2018 flagship SPs/SSPs (who wouldn’t?) but that’s a looooong way off.

So next steps are HMT1 and HMT32 refractors. But I’m only buying these kinds of cards if I’m selling others that no longer fit the scope of the main collection. What’s left is pricey, so I fulfill the regular collecting bug by buying stuff from the Ohtani top loader bin at my LCS.

The hit is numbered to <75.

You can’t go wrong with today’s two best in one box. The cards look nice, and I am looking forward to seeing pics of the dual sigs
