Just can't break this despite wanting a Bonds auto badly!

Over the past years are Jumbo boxes always better than Hobby?

I know the odds for hits in Jumbo are a little better.

I know I am insanely lucky that I hit one. Your money is better spent buying it on the secondary market.

But if you’re like me, I’ll enjoy that card more for the rest of my life knowing I hit it myself.

Hobby was the best pre 2019. Then it became arguable for a few years after that. With the collation issues and overall watered down product, jumbo has become better in my opinion.

Wait and watch on Bonds ink. No reason they won't come down like most other cards ... plus there are parallels in play so not all will remain high-priced.

I applaud Topps on this effort, as previous language has left a lot up for debate.

1990 Relic "Game Used"

And yet it's the same as before. This just eliminates the jump to conclusions part from many.

I am guessing by the end of the season the Bonds base autos will sell for half.

It just depends. If he’s in every product his prices are going to drop significantly. If he’s very limited, then they’ll stay up. In 2017 I bought a few of his autos and sold them for nice profits thinking I could buy them back eventually for less. I was very wrong.

I find it hard to believe the Pirates Auto drops significantly. The Giants one though for sure.

I think people underestimate the Bonds market and how many collectors that are clamoring for his autos for years. It will likely take far more than 1 years worth of autos for them to drop significantly.

If you are a dealer, you love Breakers. If you are a collector that loves to buy boxes/cases to rip, you hate Breakers. If this product is so bad value wise as some have stated, why has the price gone up $300-$400 in 2 weeks?

A normal collector would not touch these cases at these prices, that means the Breakers are the ones driving the price up

I open, sell and then hopefully buy more to repeat the same process. At some point, it makes no sense to buy these cases if you do what i do

Hey now. Wilson said you need to wait until Wednesday to see those prices drop. There's still time!

Despite the claim from some, breakers absolutely can and will drive up the price of Flagship. Nothing is immune. The gravy train rip and flip days are over.

I don’t think dealers like breakers either. They drive up the price of sealed wax for everyone, including dealers who can’t get decent allotments and then have to mark it up even further to make some kind of profit- and then they have to hear about the high prices directly from their customers.

People who buy into breaks drive up the price of sealed wax.

I’ve given up the hope that wax ever returns to normal. Slot machines are popular for a reason. Only thing that can get in the way of Fanatics is federal regulation.

"Dugout Peeks" similar to Opening Day?

This SKU and these parallels aren't on the CL or Odds sheet.

Was looking to get a Kenny Lofton auto from this since it has the 1990s design. For his, they only have “Cleveland” as the team name and airbrushed out the logos like a Panini card. Not sure why they didn’t put Guardians and even put the Block C on the helmet. They could have used a different picture too. Just doesn’t look good and feels like a panini card (which I don’t mind and own several but you pay less cause of it).

I am with you. My wax purchases are down to few blasters of stuff (prizm, topps chrome) from Target when I am shopping. Some of that feels more like habit than anything. I may skip basketball this year and see how that goes. I bought two blasters of archives and that is it so far for baseball. I will buy some chrome when that comes out. Likely just skip all the flagship this year. I can get graded cards of any key rookies for the price of blaster eventually. There is sooo much of everything now.

Picked up another hobby since they are still available on topps for essentially release price and got my first stinker. Only card of note was a Rafaela city connect relic /50 which goes for about 20 bucks lol

The tins are Easter Eggs. How disappointing. Was hoping for the player tins like in 2021 and 2022. Instead, we get dinged corners and useless tin eggs, but at least we get bunny rabbits and more Easter eggs on our baseball cards! Easy pass...
