2025 Topps Series 1 Too Early To Talk About It??

We're still 2 months away from this release but I'm interested to hear what everyone thinks of this upcoming release. We know Series 1 is the most produced Flagship series of the year, but there still stands to be some interesting RC's to chase in this one. Now before anyone gets their panties in a bunch, I'm listing rookies who debuted after June 1st who can potentially be in this release and who have had some success in the MLB or have had some prospect pedigree. Let me know if I missed anyone and your thoughts.

Orelvis Martinez

Wood (Top Chase)
Brooks Lee

The thing everyone should be talking about it why Topps/Fanatics has not released the design yet....:doh::doh:

Last year, I believe the design was released sometime in November....Fanatics is really dropping the ball....as usual.....

The 2024 design was first revealed January 11, 2024

Something, something, Brios, something, joke. Got that out of the way.

That list is terrible, as well.

At the slow release rate they are currently going, it will probably at least be another month or 2 before they release any info.

Bobby Baseball better be on the packaging!

Could not care any less about the design not being out.

Don't you want to know how the design influences gambling? ;)

Sasaki will be the top chase.

I’m most excited for Spencer Schwellenbach

He won't debut in time for Series 1. He'll be in Series 2.

Quiet, Fabianni's ears might start ringing and he'll show up to tell us how not knowing the design is brainwashing children into becoming gambling addicts.

That's how you know who the haters are. Pulling an arbitrary date out of the air and using it as their basis for saying Fanatics dropped the ball.

Hey....I'm in my fifties....memory isn't perfect any more....no reason to call me a "hater".....

Because the fact is....Fanatics IS way behind on releasing just about everything.

For the first time, Archives is not being released in the correct calendar year. Neither is Heritage High Numbers. And we haven't heard a peep about RIP or whether or not there is going to be mini HHN.

Instead we're getting bombarded with ancillary crap like the Chris Berman set and Wonderland, as well as unlicensed basketball products, all while major mainstream products are getting released later and later, and Fanatics is falling further and further behind schedule.

The NHLs "best" product, The Cup released late

the 2022/23 Season's version was released in September of this year

jjcan 12-13-2024 06:04 PM

I am pretty sure we are going to get some

Soto Met Rookie SP
Blake Snell Dodger rookies SP
Livy Dunn Pirates SP rookie
Maybe get some Shohei Wife Rookie card SP

Stuff like that to Make Series 1 the best 2025 Topps set ever.

When does the Stephen A. Smith Topps-X box come out ? Most important question.

The industry as a whole has gotten behind from when things were traditionally released during Covid and I don't expect it to go back. I do expect a predictable schedule once they get football and basketball running though. It just might not look like things used to. I also think the days of press releases and sell sheets months before a release are gone and not coming back. I don't take that as a failure of Fanatics or a sign they can't handle things. It's just they've decided those weren't worth their effort. Judging by the constant fast sellouts, they are probably right. They also really have done a stellar job IMO the last two years shoring up many QC issues (not all, I won't buy Stadium Club wax ever again) and in card design. I also love the ancillary crap so am not angry at those, but it's not like Topps wasn't doing similar releases prior to the Fanatics purchase.

Looking forward to Los Angeles Dodgers World Series Champions cards

awz50 12-13-2024 07:03 PM

Crews will be cool, besides that meh

JoshMN 12-13-2024 07:07 PM

If you read that list out loud it sounds like someone having a stroke.

That comment aside, I’m always excited to see the new design. They should show it already.

KhalDrogo 12-13-2024 07:09 PM

Not that it matters for Flagship, but this is a rough year for the RC and 1st Bowman.

JWBlue 12-13-2024 07:12 PM

It will be better than 2024.
