Luckily, I was so distracted by everything else that I did not notice the 80s music. That would have annoyed me. One of my biggest pet peeves is when you do a period piece, and you use music that is completely out of place. A perfect example would be one of the many terrible trailers I saw last night.

Here you have a movie that takes place in the late 17th and early 18th century, and you are using songs by Charlie XCX.

I don’t mind anachronisms if they make sense, but unfortunately, directors, producers, and studios these days seem to think every movie has to appeal to the ADD Stranger Things crowd.

A Knight's Tale is a prime example. Still one of the worst movies I’ve ever paid to watch. If I had known it was filled with constant, unnecessary rock and roll classic songs, I never would have bought a ticket.
