Toploaders are mostly made of PVC, but there are other compounds added to the mix like stabilizers and plasticizers that protect the plastic from breaking down. It's likely that some brands used different formulations that age better, but I wouldn't trust any toploader to last indefinitely - the PVC can just spontaneously break down without any exposure to bad environmental conditions.
