Well, look at this this way. No one is questioning whether Bellinger earned his MVP like is happening in the Trout channel.

So he has that going for him

Why do his cards keep dropping in price.. makes zero sense. Oh well congrats to the man still one of the best swings I have seen. Seems like a really good dude too.

What I still find interesting is that Yelich's MVP case is so similar to Trout's. As is Bregman's vs. Bellinger's. It seems the voters picked and chose what they valued most differently in each league.

His cards got overvalued in April/May, and now under the shadow of guys like Acuna and Soto.

I think his power numbers will always be there and be a 30+ homerun guy, if he can string everything else together like he did last year, he'll be great.

People spout about his poor performance after April, but I believe he still posted OPS over .900 every single month, aside from maybe September.

Probably my favorite Bellinger card.
I know Topps Now isn't for everyone, but this is the only card that will have both the RC logo and Topps Rookie Cup.

He's probably by default overpriced? If you look at Mookie's case after his MVP in 2018, he had his Update rookie prices cut in half from the start of 2019 to now despite having a monster season.

Of all the insanely young studs - Acuna, Soto, Tatis & Vlad - he's the lowest priced and is the one with the ROY & MVP.

Buying opportunity no doubt. It takes a little longer with guys a few years in the league. Just like Yelich had his HUGE bump this season after a decline last offseason, Bellinger should get a lot more respect when things settle a little.

Yelich had a compelling case as well for NL MVP, but as a lifelong Dodger and Bellinger collector, I like this award coming back to LA. I thought this would be as good an opportunity to post parts of my Bellinger collection.

Even though 2017 Topps Update autos have expired will Bellinger's base and sp cards make it good to hold hobby boxes of this? Does anyone think they will go up in value?

I don't know the answer to this question, but wouldn't it be better to just sell the boxes and put all the money into Bellinger base? If the boxes go up because of him, I'd imagine you'd have a better return holding the cards themselves

His autos from Update aren't his most desired options (the '87 wood sell raw for ~$150)... and are also super rare vs. other parallels you could get of his, so guessing they aren't the driving force for the product value.

i cant believe how much his chrome updates have fell. HMT was going for around $25-$28 now it is around $8 to $10. Makes zero sense.

Well I bought in too high maybe at $100/each. Unlike '18 S2 and '18 Update which I got at pretty good deals I just haven't seen this wax go up much in comparison even though he had an MVP season. I will think about your strategy though...good suggestion.

This has got to correct at some point. The parallel sales seem strong. $350 for a PSA 10 XFractor and $150 for a 9.5 Refractor.

The problem with 17 Update unopened is the checklist lacks depth. I mean after Bellinger and Chapman it's a long way down to...my man Castillo I guess as far as 3rd best RC?
