All the companies rush through cards, so that wasn't the best word to use. The biggest issue is these companies have just gotten so big that consistency within the company has been in steady decline. Bigger grading teams means higher turnover and also less ability to monitor. My last two SGC orders were pretty varied. One was graded correctly for the most part, but had two cards that they missed a serious issue on. The other order was just overgraded, every card.
My last CGC order was the best graded order I have had
this year from PSA/SGC/CGC. I am thinking the reason for it is that CGC sports card grading has plummeted to almost nothing and they have a small team grading all the sports cards. Maybe Andy Broome is personally grading all the sports cards at this point.
Grading has gotten too big and inconsistency is part of the game. It is not the company you use, but the person grading your cards that day. Is it someone that was just hired or the angry veteran grader.
