Strata Die Cut Derek Carr missing Auto sticker???

I purchased this [B]2014 Topps Strata Die Cut - Derek Carr[/B] a few weeks ago on Ebay (as an add on to be exact) for $1. Once I received it, being a Raiders fan and all...I gave it a 2nd take and realize both the front and the back of the card indicate this should have a auto sticker by Derek Carr.

I did contact the seller and he didn't realize the card was supposed to have an auto. He told me he pulled the card from a pack, but no longer has the wrapper/proof of purchase, etc. And he wished me good luck.

I've emailed Topps, but never received a response. Eventually I posted the pictures of the card on there Facebook page and received a reply to contact them at their 1-800 number.

I called them last week and spoke to a lady who asked for the set, player, year, etc. She then had me print out one of their forms and send in the card. Which I did, and as of this morning...finally arrived (it just needs to get picked up by them).

I don't see why they wouldn't slap a sticker on that for you. Although, it might have had some novelty value for not having it, probably still worth more with the autograph.

If you were the one that pulled it absolutely. Now buying it with no Auto as a non Auto card and then trying to get the mistake remedied. It might give them reason to say no, but in all fairness they should just slap an Auto on it and make it whole. I wish you Luck and hope you get the Auto!

They've had some like that in other sports as well. Matt Harvey for Finest baseball had ones where they simply weren't autographed for whatever reason

Believe that Topps Chrome baseball...they were going to have me send it in but didn't trust them, especially since Houdini pulled it for me in a GB, so only sent a scan and stuff, eventually sold it on eBay for around $30.

I don't know how things like this slip through, but it seems that they do rather often... lol

Just got this back from Topps. After reading about so many issues with Topps customer care. I can honestly say they did a great job w/my situation.

I have a David Fales of these w/ no auto.

I called Topps and they said I needed proof of purchase + the UPC. I have my receipt but the box is long gone. They basically said I was SOL. Did they require you to have these things too? Or should I call and see if a different rep will help ...

[SIZE="5"][FONT="Times New Roman"][B]I called Topps and spoke to a representative within 5 minutes. I informed her of the issue with my card. She asked me for the card info, and once she verified something in her computer. She said to send in the card, and to include the Topps Claim form (she told me where to obtain it).

Therefore I only sent Topps -

My card
Claim form (filled in of course)
Letter stating the issue, conversation with Topps rep, and my return address[/B][/FONT][/SIZE]

steal for only 1 buck!!!!

Glad that worked out for you, always nice when the companies correct issues! I'd say you'll probably make a decent return on your $1 investment :D
