Beware Blowout seller heatfan2024
 

On 11/1 I negotiated a 3 lot deal consisting of 16 cards from Blowout seller heatfan2024. Deal made and paid for on Friday 11/1, and was told he would mail the lots probably on Saturday, no later than Monday 11/4. No tracking or messages so I sent a message on 11/6 asking for an update....reply was he got busy with work and would get the package out on 11/7, which he did. Package arrived and it was short 7 cards of the 16 that I purchased. He purchased the shipping label at the USPS counter, so I can see the exact weight of the package, 5.50oz. Included in the lots purchased was supposed to be 3 PSA graded cards plus 13 other cards....probably a weight of 10+oz, so the package was obviously short cards. Contacted Brandon 11/9 and he replied with an admission of his error, said he would correct, that he was looking at the cards on his desk, and he would get them shipped out. Now, over a week later, and he has not sent missing cards, has not replied to any messages....just went ghost. Reported to mods and I have filed a PayPal claim plus left the appropriate feedback....his last 3 are all negs.

It took PayPal less than 2 hours after I escalated the claim to refund my money to me....if Brandon has no funds in his account they will take him to collections. I would still rather have the cards.

On paypal, it says "awaiting seller response." I wonder how you got Paypal to process your refund in less than 2 hours???

I guess I should feel lucky that he did eventually actually send about 1/2 of the cards we had a deal for.

I opened the dispute but was not refunded until after I escalated it. I did wait a few days after opening the dispute to give him time to send the cards, but after there was no communication over the weekend, and he had signed on to Blowout multiple times, I escalated the case yesterday and received an almost immediate refund. If you haven't escalated the dispute they will not do anything. And why haven't you bothered to warn others by leaving him the negative feedback he has earned?

I don't know what it takes to get banned from Blowout....apparently being a liar and a thief isn't enough.

Did you report him to the mods or are you assuming incorrectly that they get an alert every time a banana loses cards?

I smashed the triangle, don't know about the others who have also left negs, or those who haven't bothered to warn others.

Left neg feedback - was hoping he would communicate since I opened a dispute on PP. Just escalated the dispute on PP too. I know he's done this to at least four people including us in the past month.

I did get an original tracking number sent to me 5 days after he first promised to send....the package was eventually delivered, but it only had 9 of the 7 cards that I paid for. I received a 2nd tracking number after calling him out for his error, and that tracking number never showed any movement, just label created. That e-mail is now so old it has auto-deleted from my old mail, or I would post it so all could see. I will try to find it....I did give it to PayPal to help prove my case, they also saw no movement which is maybe part of the reason they gave me a refund so quickly after I escalated the claim.

I am not saying you’re wrong, the other cards will be sent tomorrow

Make sure you continue with your PP disputes. With the user being banned, the likelihood of actually receiving the cards is minimal.

I'll take even money that the irresponsible kid who totally deserves to be banned (heatfan2024) actually sends the remaining cards.

Besides the bad apples that are outright scammers, the likelihood of EVENTUALLY receiving the cards is extremely high, banned or not.

FWIW, I received the package of cards today. It helped to escalate the case on Paypal.

Yeah....after he was banned he got in touch with via my PayPal ID.....said he would send me the remainder of what he "forgot" to send with the initial order....still waiting for a tracking number, I'm not holding my breath.

Those threads are from years and years ago. If you look at those threads those persons were scamming for some time (on ebay or here) and also from dozens of people.

They dont allow you to put names on every random Blowout deal gone wrong.

Update:

After Brandon Moore....Blowout ID heatfan2024....was banned due to numerous bad deals, he got in touch with me via my PayPal ID, the one I used to pay him with originally, and we came to an agreement. He said that he would send me the rest of the cards from our original transaction and I would pay him after they arrived. Now, a full week later, no further contact and no tracking number or cards. PayPal did return my funds, but I would rather have the cards.

I can't believe it. LondonGames said the banned member would come through!

heatfan2024 was banned on the 19th or 20th, but looking at his account it shows he last activity on Blowout was on the 24th....are banned members allowed to sign into their account but not post?

Holiday Update.....

Since he was banned, Brandon Moore has been able to open his account, but apparently not able to post or message......he was on again just yesterday after being banned almost a month ago..

After he was banned he got in touch with me via the PayPal e-mail address that I used to pay him with initially. He has promised to send the missing cards at least 3 different times, but has not followed thru. His last 6 feedback on Blowout show what kind of person his really is.....just a failed thief who got caught.

If I can get as many people as possible to know that he is a failed thief because he got caught, and an ongoing liar about multiple bad transactions, I don't mind wasting my time.

In his defense on this point - I always go to the PO at around 4:00. Every day.
On Tuesday I arrived at 4, with 20 eBay items, and the PO was closed. During the days leading up to the 24th I never saw any type of signage that indicated that they were closing early on the 24th. I go in the front door, the lobby door, and to the counter but I never saw any indication that they were going to close early. They never closed early in the past. Next year I will make sure that I ask about their holiday schedule.

Final update.....

After 2+ months, over 50 back and forth messages, at least 10 broken promises to send....I did today finally receive the 7 cards that were short from the initial shipment....so the call out thread served a purpose, [B]and thanks to [B]Bosoxfan5990, hche, Boo, BostonNut, Siberian13 & tonedef2oo8[/B] for helping in that effort[/B]. 2 of the cards in the lot were PSA graded, and one arrived with a chipped corner.....how much should I deduct from my payment to him to cover the cost of a reslab for that card? I have never had a card graded, so no clue on cost to reslab and the shipping cost to get that done....anybody help with that?

Starts at $13 for service so probably with shipping both ways youre probably looking around $35-40 total cost

After taking 2 months to fix his screw up, seller had the huevos to ask me to send the final payment via PayPal F&F. 2 of the 7 cards that I received today have serious damage....he ain't family and he for sure is no friend.

End of this sad story....happy to say that this Blowout transaction was an exception to the rule.
