XRP
Thoughts on XRP? Present and future?
|
Personally don't have any real insight into XRP other than to say a buddy of mine has been into it for awhile and done a ton of research and claims it's nearing a BIG run. According to him along the lines of 10x. To me it's flexibility to move internationally with low fees is a huge benefit and I'm certain there are more. I threw a $2k at it last week at .29 and will ride it out for awhile. Lord knows I've blown $2k in worse places.
*I am not a financial expert and none of the above is to be construed as such :-)* Be Well H4L |
Market cap dictates it will never do 10x.
Third most expensive coin. Comparing to eth it has far smaller community. Overall I see limited upside. Much better options in alt land. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk |

*I am not a financial expert and none of the above is to be construed as such :-)* Be Well H4L
I agree with your friend. Someone else said that a 10x is not possible given its market cap, but it has been over 10x higher than now previously. I think it's too early to know which coins will last in the long run, though bitcoin as the king crypto almost certainly will remain prominent in the industry. As a general rule, it's best to stick to projects with funding and use-cases. I think the safest ones are bitcoin and Ethereum, and I like Cardano as a riskier coin with potentially more upside. Also, none of the above is financial advice. This is merely my opinion. |
The greatest digital asset ever.
4 Trademarks applied for in the last month. https://twitter.com/barrysilbert/status/1298644113089343488 Things could be about ready to BLAST OFF! To the Moon? Nope, to Mars and Beyond! |

Looks like it's gone parabolic in the last 2 weeks or so. Be careful.
|
I like XRP and have owned some since the big boom in December 2018...? I sold after it boomed then bought back in some months ago in the high teens low .20's.. nice to see the gains, but I like XRP as a long term altcoin and will continue to hold.
|
I got out of crypto for a while when it tanked but I'm slowly back in. XRP has always been one of my favorites because of its speed and low transaction fees. To me Bitcoin and Ethereum have no practical use because of these two problems. Even though XRP is a lot different and facing legal problems I get this feeling its going to be the main crypto someday even if the powers that be don't want that. At 30 cents it's worth the risk. If it crashes next week I'll probably buy some more.
|
XRP will be pumped, possibly to a new high on Feb 1. It may never go below 30 cents again.

Exactly. It's value comes from it's utility, not how many people own it. I envision a world running on XRP soon. |
Now at .62 cents
100 XRP is better than 0 XRP, especially if this goes where I think it's going. |
Oh and the SEC Lawsuit against XRP is total BS. It'll be resolved shortly and then they'll go after other coins leaving XRP free to lead the way.
Although the price has gone up, 100 XRP is still better than 0. XRP isn't going to rise, it's going to blast off to the MOON and when it does, it'll happen with a flip of a switch. Overnight while you're sleeping. You want your bags packed before blastoff. |
$1.08 today!!

Think of XRP this way, as a Pre-IPO coin for the new financial system. You'll be glad you did.

Who's going to represent Bitcoin if they do get sued? |
Who's going to represent Bitcoin if they do get sued?
How could Bitcoin be sued? There is no company. There is no security offering and no executives are using Bitcoin to illegally conduct financial operations Do you understand why Ripple is being sued? |
You can’t “sue” a cryptocurrency but you can sue a company that breaks financial laws
Issuers seeking the benefits of a public offering, including access to retail investors, broad distribution and a secondary trading market, must comply with the federal securities laws that require registration of offerings unless an exemption from registration applies,"
|
You can’t “sue” a cryptocurrency but you can sue a company that breaks financial laws
That's how they're getting sued - XRP is not decentralized, it's "Ripple's" (a company's) token - they're getting sued for improper sale of securities, and it is a textbook example (coins will be worthless unless they get the best lawyer on the planet, just wish mine would go away- sick of looking at them) |

Yep, and based on the cult like responses from some XRP holders they don’t quite understand what this actually means. |

I also believe in XRP. Sometimes even more than in BTC itself. Fundamentally BTC is of course stronger but XRP can bring more profit, my opinion. |

It took Apple stock over a decade to appreciate, the same was said to those holding Apple way back when.. For those who can see the future, they know holding XRP is wise IMHO It's a long term strategy. It's not for Day Traders and flippers. |

Deciding whether or not to buy XRP today can be a tricky decision. On the one hand, XRP is the third largest cryptocurrency by market cap, so it could potentially be a good investment. On the other hand, the crypto market is highly volatile, so no one can guarantee returns
However, crypto investors can make their decisions with the help of bots. 3Commas provides a feature-rich terminal and automated bots that operate on 16+ major exchanges. Their SmartTrading technology helps users grow their crypto investments with a unique trading platform. If you're a crypto investor, 3Commas' bots are a great way to take the guesswork out of trading and invest more strategically. Check out the 3Commas blog for more information on the best crypto trading bots: https://3commas.io/blog/best-crypto-trading-bot |
The great thing about XRP is not only do you benefit from holding it as it will certainly increase over time and once the SEC lawsuit is over (and its looking good for Ripple) but theres also the fact that anyone who held since this thread started should easily have never taken a loss with all the airdrops that have been associated with it. I know i personally got a free 6k XRP from them all. Unless you do crypto wrong theres no way to lose especially with XRP. Keep buying it and dollar cost averaging and you will make out great! But store it on Xumm or a Ledger

Yeah, I have a Nano and it's locked up in my safe. I started bying in March of 2020 and have bought a little each month since when I felt the time was right. I'll keep buying until I can no longer afford it. Just think, if they win the lawsuit, and I think they will, they'll be the ONLY asset labelled "Not a Securty" and then watch what happens. And yes, the light is shining hard of those corrupt criminals. They're all going down. Hard. |
As someone who was around before XRP, it has as much chance as any token to go up or down. Winning a lawsuit does not equate to adoption/use.
It is all a very techie way for a handful of people to have gotten filthy rich of the hope and dreams of others sold as the future. Oh sure the tech has it's use, speed, transparency, cost but no, no outside governed token will succeed. Therefore falling short of the US government signing an agreement handing over the system to ripple (lol) sorry had to laugh the idea would be entertained... it has no advantage. |

There's many partnerships and it is used by many people (look up XUMM for instance). It doesn't need to be governed. Once this lawsuit is over (which it has been showing how corrupt the SEC is) then XRP will continue to climb. |

Bumping this to see how long until it hits, officially. |
I've been in the Crypto space longer than most. I was trading shitcoins on MintPal in 2014. I can't believe people are still drinking the kool-aid for XRP. Literally for almost 10 years all I have heard is "it's going to moon soon". How long are we going to wait?
It wasn't accepted by the broader crypto community then, and it likely won't be anytime soon. This is not to say the tech isn't good, nor that it won't succeed in some fashion, but after so many years I am befuddled that the hopium still remains so strong. |

Like I said pages ago, XRP is a cult and no matter what happens they won't waiver. There isn't and never will be a value proposition for XRP. The only times it has ever gone up were during massive crypto booms, not because people liked XRP but people were buying everything and anything. Look at this chart and tell me it's going to the moon |
XRP's value is not in it's daily price. Some are just not able to see.

Buy some and thank me (yourselves) later. And if you do want to buy some, buy it very fast.

Yep, and it's now the only asset that has clarity. Once Blackrock and Vanguard get in the game, and then the banks.. BOOMSHALOCK LOCK BOOM! |
In a totally unsurprising turn of events, Indy (along with all the other randos who pumped it) didn't actually understand anything that the case actually said.
The court ruled that "The Court ruled that Ripple’s “institutional sales” of XRP (i.e., the direct sale of XRP to investors, including institutional buyers and hedge funds) constituted an impermissible offer and sale of investment contracts in violation of Section 5 of the Securities Act." Which was what, 700 something million worth? Also not surprisingly people figured out this was a huge L for Ripple and it's almost back to where it was |

And that's fine. It's the ONLY coin with such legal clarity. It'll bode well for the future. Also, I'm fine with people being scared out, more for me. |
XRP has a very bright future. Been heavily invested since 2019 and holding strong. It’s not the most exciting crypto to own but when she runs she RUNS! I think 2024 will be very nice. Especially if there is a settlement.
