I'm not saying he's going to inevitably be a HOFer, but intimating that he is a bust or overhyped seems a bit premature, especially if that opinion is based on Jr. not putting up numbers like his father did in the prime of his career.

I don't discredit him, he's a great player. I think the market is all hype and objectively he is a bad buy. This is coming from someone who owns Yelich cards.

Great buys on your April pickups. Higher end stuff tends to hold value, because people are holding longer term and far less are available. To get a better idea of the market as a whole and the supply + demand you need to look at his flagship items like Update and Update Chrome.

Of course it's going to be mentioned. But it seems like you're saying he's highly regarded because of his Dad. Like saying Judge is mediocre, it's just silly.

Vlad Sr. came up at 21 and change. He played 9 games. He wasn't a regular until he was 23. Vlad Jr. turned 20 in March.

We can agree to disagree on the points of Guerrero JR being Overhyped and Judge being mediocre.

Everyone who claims Judge to be one of the greats ignores the fact that playing baseball at the professional level and playing 165 games a year at that level is one of the most physically demanding sports there is. Your consistency and ability to stay healthy enough to play says a lot about a player. This is why Ripken’s record will never be broken, and why he was the player he was.

It also says a lot that Judge hasn’t been healthy for a full season since 2017. Even then he was injured for part of it, which IMO lowers his ability as a star player.

Also why is it that Judge gets a pass for being injured all the time and everyone says that he is great just wait until he’s healthy, but a player like Buxton gets criticized for being injured?
