Are you on your feet all day?

Looking for suggestions on comfortable work shoes! I always buy some cheap a$$ pair from like Ross or wherever, but it's time to break open the wallet. Gel insoles are nice, but want to hear what's worked for everyone else.

I went with Timberland Pit Boss and added gel insoles. They have been holding up well.

Skechers Memory Foam.... Never thought I would be caught in Skechers but they are very very comfy if you're on your feet a lot....

I work in a jail and am on my feet 8 to 16 hours a day. I wear plain black new balance. The boots were just destroying my feet. I have wide feet and could never find a boot comfortable enough. Tried 511, danner, Nike, hi tech, and bates, went to new balance walking shoes and will never go back. I would rather risk a broken toe than feet that hurt 24 7

I'll have to check out NB. My feet are slightly wide as well so it can be tough finding comfortable shoes.

I did retail for 10 years. When I was management we would walk 10 - 12 miles a shift. I found padded inserts worked better than Gel since gel can get pushed to one side and cause blisters. I would just wear a nice pair of running/tennis shoes since they were very light and are built to put up with miles and miles of running.

These as well as New Balance.

Both are very comfortable shoes. I always wore Nike before but they don't even compare to the comfort of these two.

NO. i didnt like these, I load on a dock for a shipping company and the memory gel Sketchers felt great for about 2 months then before 3 months i had wore the gel down to the sole and gave myself a blister on the ball of my foot. I need a Pair of boots that last longer then 3 months... I went to the shoe store and got a pair of work boots by the brand "Keen" they feel like tennis shoes .. They were $140.00 But I had a 20% off coupon clipped from a paper add. so that helped a little... Good Luck

+1 i also wear plain black wide NB shoes, they are durable also. I never have sore feet anymore, i used to buy the cheap shoes from walmart and i would also have sore feet. but NB is definitely the way to go.

I bought 2 different pair of Asolo boots on Sierra Trading Post. If you can time the discounts right you can get them for around $110. Mine were goretex lined so they are on the warm side with thin(lightweight) Smartwool PHD socks. Don't forget good socks too.

Also if you have good health ins I would suggest finding a reputable podiatrist in your area to fit you custom orthotics. Check with your ins company to see if they cover the cost. If not you might be looking at a $200+ bill.

Hardly...as far as I know only the 990 and maybe a very select few other models are truly made in the U.S. 90-95% of the others are "Made in the USA with Imported Materials"
