Default Players going to other team's games

I just notice Tristan Thompson in the background of a shot of the Mavs bench (at least I am fairly sure it was him) and wondered how common it is to see players attend games of other teams?

I imagine it is not a crazy rare thing, but has Anyone seem it before?

I would assume former college teammates would attend each others games. Probably make a few friends along the way on other teams as well.

Nothing wrong with being a fan of the game even if you're a player

I've seen allen iverson at a Bernard Hopkins fight back when he played for the sixers. He was in the ring celebrating with B-hop after a win.

Bazemore (Lakers), Brandon Rush (Jazz) and Jarret Jack (Cavs) attended game 3 of the Clipper/Warrior series and it wouldnt surprise me to see Luol Deng sitting at the next Wizards/Bulls game..

I'm guessing it's pretty common, but most of the time they're probably in a suite so you don't realize they're there.

A lot of these guys have good friends spread all around the league, remember that the majority of players in the NBA have been playing against each other since they were 14 or 15 with AAU ball every summer.

Jodie Meeks was at both ATL-IND games in Atlanta.

Posted IG pics.

Happens all the time. Not thread-worthy.

Not thread worthy? lol what is your problem?

I have watched hundreds of NBA games an have never noticed it before, so I asked if it happens often.

Maybe it is common knowledge in the US? But the only exposure the NBA gets in Australia is occasional Lebron headlines or a Griffin dunk highlight, so it isn't common to see/hear about here!

Noticed Thompson as well....Seems pretty common, lots of players are fans as well. Who wouldnt want to see what its like in person to be in a pressure packed playoff atmosphere. Good for the guys who do chec out games, and good for the league to show that the players are like a family.

I'm sure it was something Jordan and Bird did all the time.
