Someone at Topps done goofed up.
They put up the full internal checklist that showed expected revenue, number of sets, it showed everything. It’s already been taken down though |

I'd like to hear more about the expected revenue section. What did that entail? Last edited by Bob Ross; 12-19-2025 at 10:12 PM. |

Thanks WWEToppsChrome! The elite talent at Fanatics shows themseves again!
As for the numbers, looks like each box is the complete 22 base card set, 1 insert, 2 serial numbered. Easiest auto to hit is 1 in every 105 boxes. Sheesh. So 105*99.99 - you have to spend on average $10,498.95 to get 1 base Cena auto on average. |

The sheet isn’t that big of a deal. There isn’t anything you can’t calculate on your own if you have the odds and price. One thing I’d be curious about is if they don’t show the odds when it goes on sale, it’s clear they are purposely obfuscating some things. |

I’m not jumping to that conclusion until I see the listing. If they purposely don’t show these odds on the page, then I will agree with you. I do think showing odds before the public sale is better as most things sell out immediately these days though. Pricing is trickier. They are clearly trying to optimize based on demand and virality as a signal. It’s smart of them to maximize profits but is not what any “collectible” company has ever done until Panini started it. I’m on the fence on that. |

In 2022, Panini sold a set of Cena cards for each of his 16 championship wins. The set with a parallel AND auto /5 or 1/1 they charged $200 for. I could be wrong, but I don't think anything besides the 1/1s sold for more than $300-$400. Even the 1/1 autos weren't huge money. I don't know if a single one ever sold for $2k or more.
I realize the biggest cards in this will be worth something but you're talking about only 1/1 autos, tour relic autos, and possibly the dual autos. Obviously Rock and Cena 1/1 auto would be big. But most likely talking about 100 cards or so out of 8350 packs. Could be more or less based on the dual auto subjects. This card set from Topps you get 1 autograph in more than 100 packs at $100 per pack. 22 of those 25 cards are going to be essentially worthless. So, you're basically spending $100 for 3 cards. An almost guaranteed worthless insert or sp, slim chance at an auto, a relic (not super long odds there), a numbered card again almost all not /10 or less worth next to nothing. You can buy /5s of the Panini set for next to nothing right now. The Panini set for the 16 titles only 254 of each card were made and those sell for nothing. Each one of these 22 Topps base there will be thousands of. Last edited by mossoholic; 12-22-2025 at 07:22 AM. Reason: edit |

I’m not defending Topps at all nor buying this but you can’t really compare a Panini Instant set to this, Instant is known to sell at 1/10th of everything else from Panini, even for guys like Wemby, wouldn’t be surprised if somehow Clark broke the trend though.
Also similar to when someone passes (sadly) all of a sudden their prices go up I feel it’s the same for a retirement like Cena’s. He has a ton of autos out there but we both know somehow these will sell for more than any of his recent autos etc. then a year from now it’ll all be half-price as Cena now in the legends category has been in another ten sets. In 2022 he hadn’t announced a final run or retirement or anything . |

The odds of pulling an auto are ridiculously low. Spend over $10k to get 1 auto? The Panini Instants were spend $200 get an auto /5 or 1/1 and parallel /5 or 1/1. Obviously the Topps have bigger chases but there would have to be 25% the amount of packs or the price be less than half to be worth it imo. I said its basically $100 for 3 cards but for 99.9% of people that insert will be worthless too so it's really $100 for 2 cards. |
