Ohtani will win even though he has a lower BATTING WAR than Geraldo Perdomo. As we all know Mr Ohtani also hurls the ball at opposing batters
WAR was the crux of the hugely bitter battles here on Blowout in 2012 and 2013 when Troutheads and the members of the Church of WAR swear Trout was ROBBED both years against Miggy for MVP. It's escalating again this year with Judge and Cal. Judgeheads and Church of WAR members will say it's a landslide. Pre WAR era this would be a coin flip. Today I think it's a pretty comfortable win by Judge

Yeah, even without pitching. Ohtani fwar is 6.9 and Perdomo is 6.7.

Ohtani is a near lock at this point. Judge has a 1.9 WAR advantage over Raleigh BUT Trout had a 2.1 advantage over Josh Donaldson in 2015 and did not get the hardware. Advantage Judge but no lock, especially if voter fatigue is a real thing.

Ohtani vs Perdomo is a crazy MVP comparison.

If Cal gets to 60 and the Ms make the playoffs it will be close.

ONLY way Dumper even has a chance of winning MVP is if he can break Judge's HR record. That would also mean he's been smoking the ball down the stretch, so his counting stats would all look more impressive than where they stand today. Outside of hitting 63+, he's not winning MVP over Judge.

Does Geraldo Perdomo even have a thread on Blowout?

I apologize as I do not pray at the altar of the Church of WAR.
I made a mistake in the OP was only compared Perdomo's batting WAR to Ohtani's batting WAR. I humbly apologize for offending thee and have corrected it

I think Cal will win MVP. Sure, Judge is having an amazing season, but Cal is having an historic season doing things no one has done before.

Should be Judge IMO. Definitely won't be unanimous either way.

You know the funny part is Perdomo being mentioned before Schwarber (cough cough... the Schwarber HOF thread). LOL.
Statistically, Judge should win BUT Raleigh is passing the eye test and has a legit shot of winning. As long as Ohtani is hitting his .280/50 and pitching, it will take a miracle season by someone else to unseat him as MVP

Does Perdomo have a shot at the HOF? I think we can all agree that, yes, he does. He is having a better season than Schwarber and a lot of people already have his plaque being engraved. Perdomo = HOF lock.

I am a Phillies homer. Not a chance. Ohtani is a lock!
