This is the first time it's ever happened to me, and it is for a $115 item. Got the email this morning that a member is filing a chargeback directly through their bank, and eBay is asking me to provide proof of delivery to the case.
Since it's been 7 months, what am I supposed to do? The tracking number is no longer valid. The order status page shows delivered, so I took a screenshot of that and attached it to the dispute, but am I automatically going to lose because I no longer have a tracking number since it's out of date? eBay member for your blocking pleasure: vicious_emporium |

Typically, if there was tracking uploaded to the order, and it shows delivery, you are protected by seller protections. |

I uploaded the screenshots of the order showing delivered. Hopefully that is enough. |

You should be OK. USPS only maintains tracking info for 120 days. Unless you pay for signature confirmation, which it then shows for upwards of 2 years.
eBay has to know this is a thing |
