Default Ridiculous T206 Wagner Beckett grading story

Thought this was worth a share, even though the story is completely absurd. Ignoring the Wagner part, who waits 11+ years to inquire about a grading submission?

Guy allegedly submits a t206 Honus Wagner to Beckett back in 2013, and just recently questioned why it was never returned. Sadly, I haven't seen any images of the card, but the delay and allegations are crazy, even if the card wasn't a Wagner.

A quick recap is found here.

Some sections I thought were interesting.

That’s crazy.

I wonder what that guy was thinking for the last decade?

And that my friends, is why you pay for same day grading that you drop off in person...wait...and then pick up a few hours later.

I guess I’d best start looking for my T206 Wagner, I mean I know I have one, so it’s layin’ around in this mess, somewhere, just hain’t seen it all that lately

This is why there are statute of limitation laws. Case should be dismissed.

Citing emotional distress, that to me is grounds for dismissal of the case, this guy never gave a second thought to the card for 11 years? Sounds like he knowingly sent in a fake card, just figured Beckett tossed it, forgot about it and now a hail mary 11 years later?

Yeah, seems a bit of a stretch to claim the statute was tolled because Beckett never communicated with him. A statute of limitations is tolled when there are necessary facts that could not have been discovered. In this case, all he had to do was log into his account to discover the alleged new facts. He didn't bother to do that for 11 years. Action should be barred.

My wife and I joke about creating custom stickers to slap on cars at our sons high school that say, "Yur Dumb" with a QR Code to pay the school $20. So many people just think that they can park anywhere they want, block any row they want, park at a stop sign, and act like they are the only person on the planet when it comes to picking up their non-driving student.

I'd gladly slap a Yur Dumb sticker on this situation.

Pro se tells you all you need to know. I conservatively estimate 5% of the population had their brains eaten by worms and are completely unshakable in their irrationality. And they represent about 75% of pro se cases.

Yeah, I don't see this one lasting all that long.

The complaint included several social media links, but thought this ending was a classic. Would be happy if Beckett provided 11 cards (one for each year) with at least one being a Wagner.
Really surprised Beckett didn't jump on that request.
