Default Topps Collectors Stories

Hello Everyone,

Been on the boards for a long time and probably participated in some breaks with you guys. Been breaking with Houdini, Matt and Buffi for years. Nothing but positive interactions and experiences on Blowout...... awesome community of hobby enthusiasts !!

I wanted to share the video that Topps recently shot about me and my family.

I hope you enjoy our little collecting story !

Happy collecting everyone !!

i actually watched this last night! haha

really enjoyed it. was shocked to see Topps feature someone that is a collector.
what they usually do is promote people in their inner circle and/or famous folks.

it was refreshing to see someone that collects.

what makes it more impressive are the hoops that Fanatics had to jump through
to make this happen. im sure they had to get clearance from the NYSE and LIRR
to do that much filming.

lastly, shoutout to you for dealing with the LIRR for all this time. i dealt with
the Ronkonkoma line for about a decade before having enough! haha

The red tape was a hurdle for sure...... back and forth between legal departments for about 2 weeks was the worst of it !

Really glad you enjoyed it !

I didn't work on this video, but it's my favorite piece that our content team has created! Extremely relatable.

And for the record - we are making a big push to tell Collector Stories, so there will be more of this sort of content coming soon.

Your content team was amazing ! They worked long hours on 3 shoots to get this short film together........ They were a pleasure to work with and made this a very painless undertaking. Really fun and exciting experience for my boys.

Can't wait to see the next episodes !

Thanks for sharing and telling your story - it’s awesome! Growing up, also had a similar experience opening packs with my parents. My kids enjoy opening packs mostly Pokémon and baseball. Love that you will leave a legacy of cards and memories for your kids. Good luck expanding your Yankees collection.

Awesome video and story. A true collector which seems rare around here these days. That video will probably drive some people crazy here seeing some of those cards that nobody here will ever have a chance to own like the 1/1 Trout/Ohtani/Pujols. Lots of awesome cards. I'm a Red Sox fan but I still approve!

Really great - thanks for sharing your story, your memories, your family, and some impressive PC items to boot!

Also, props to the Topps creative team that captured and edited the story. Clearly a big effort from some talented individuals. Great vision, and great restraint to let the story be told without feeling like a commercial.

Those 6 Judge Bowman Black autos. - wow! Insane you own that many. Super under-rated cards.

Thank you for sharing your story!

You're fortunate to have such a supportive family (of your love for sports and the hobby). And to be able to bond with your kids over something you (and they) love, that's beautiful.

These are the true measures of wealth in one's life.

Your PC is pretty sweet too!
