I've never done this before but I have a couple packs from a collection I bought that I'm considering grading.
One is a 1975 Topps Baseball (full size) - the completed sales prices on eBay for the non-graded vs. graded show a huge difference. But I'm not familiar with how hard it is to get a high grade (pack looks really nice to my untrained eye). The other pack is a 1984 Topps Football (Marino and Elway rookie year). The price for graded packs don't go up nearly as dramatically with that one. So I'm wondering if anybody has advice on this, which company is best to grade these with, if you feel like it's worth it, etc... Thanks in advance! |

Only company that grades packs is PSA I believe. It’s pricey but I can’t imagine it’s not worth it if you are going to sell those packs.

PSA is the only company that currently grades wax packs and cellos. Nobody currently grades rack packs.
In the past, GAI also graded racks, cellos, and wax, but that was a long time ago (pre-2010, if I remember correctly). The dude from BBCE used to do ALL of PSA's wax/cello grading, but I doubt that's the case anymore. And I have no idea about the qualifications of the other people helping him. |
