Default USA - 2026 World Cup Champions

So excited to see how Balogun fits in against Mexico, or more appropriately stated how the team plays around an actual real-life striker. Also very excited to see how Balogun opens up play for Pulisic with him no longer being the only legitimate offensive threat up top.

That game was insane!

Got the 11 right though and it was dominant. Reyna through the middle was brilliant. Pulisic did it all and they couldn’t handle him. Hate to see the red cards but what a ride.

Meh on the reds. Making a statement like that against Mexico is more important than winning the Nations League championship.

The dirty play by Mexico was next level today. They always play very chippy and cheap, but just absolutely hacking and looking to hurt people today. I've always rooted for Mexico when not playing the US, that's definitely over now. Just an embarrassing way to play soccer at any level, let alone international competition. That ref also needs some serious punishment for not controlling the game all, letting countless dangerous plays happen with no penalties.

Dirty + diving from Mexico, and one of the worst reffing performances I’ve seen in a while. Completely lost control.

Mexico was garbage and our performance is tarnished by their failure to embrace modern soccer. Looking at this holistically and focusing in our conference, Canada will be the biggest threat moving forward. That being said, CONMEBOL is knocking on the doorstep, and unless I forgot, the team that won the WC came from that group.

I also believe that the usmnt interim coach made the squad watch the Brazilian, Nike commercials. What. A. Treat.

Won't see this again so I hope you enjoyed it. Now that Greggg is back they'll go back to 'let's wait for the other team to make a mistake' instead of attacking or anything creative. Also be on the lookout for a terrible sub strategy making a return!

You can't blame Tata for this lost.

lol what. Making a 'statement' against a fading team is meaningless compared to an actual trophy

Should be a good final against Canada.

That was a fun game to watch until it started descending into chaos. Winning the game 2-0 with 20 minutes left and losing your cool and getting sent off is just inexcusable and even more so up 3-0. Point at the scoreboard and walk away.

I'm not too enthused about Berhalter coming back unless this team can play like that. Just something about his coaching style is just meh. Hope he has them playing like that though as it was enjoyable to watch.

Nations League is pretty much meaningless. Obviously they want to win the final, but regardless yesterday's game will remain far more memorable.

If it was meaningless they wouldnt have named their best squad to the roster for these 2 games.

It's identical to the lineup he would have started in the WC had those players all been available at the time.

And the reason Morris came on instead of Reyna in that game was revealed months ago. Maybe you're okay with prima donnas not practicing hard and getting PT but I'm not. He was one vote away from being sent home completely. #facts.

US outplayed all 3 teams in the group stage, clearly outplayed England, and lost to a better team that almost beat Argy in the knockouts. Not sure what people expected but it was a good result. If Pulisic doesn't miss his 1v1 against the keeper, USMNT have a 1-0 lead and the rest of the game is very different.

This brand of US soccer is awesome. Whether it's the Balogun addition or Greg subtraction, pretty much every player looks as good as they ever have.

So much fun. Pulisic and Balogun were so disruptive up top, never seen anything like it for the US. Opened up so much more opportunity for everyone else to freely operate. Reyna especially looked fantastic. Glad we get to see some more of this team right away with Gold Cup group play. Assuming no Reyna for either game though.

Yeah they looked great. Reyna in that central role is so good. He has to be the starter there when Adams returns, at the expense of Musah or McKennie. Good problem to have though. We’ll see how GGG manages it.

Unfortunately we won’t see this team together for a little bit as they are rotating the gold cup roster so these guys can get a proper rest before club preseason. Only a handful of holdovers.

USMNT GOLD CUP DETAILED ROSTER BY POSITION (CLUB/COUNTRY; CAPS/GOALS):

GOALKEEPERS (3): Sean Johnson (Toronto FC/CAN; 12/0), Gaga Slonina (Chelsea/ENG; 1/0), Matt Turner (Arsenal/ENG; 26/0)

DEFENDERS (8): DeJuan Jones (New England Revolution; 2/0), Aaron Long (LAFC; 32/3), Matt Miazga (FC Cincinnati; 23/1), Jalen Neal (LA Galaxy; 2/0), Bryan Reynolds (Roma/ITA; 3/0), Miles Robinson (Atlanta United; 21/3), John Tolkin (New York Red Bulls; 1/0), DeAndre Yedlin (Inter Miami; 78/0)

MIDFIELDERS (6): Gianluca Busio (Venezia/ITA; 9/0), Djordje Mihailovic (AZ Alkmaar/NED; 6/1), Aidan Morris (Columbus Crew; 2/0), Cristian Roldan (Seattle Sounders; 32/3), James Sands (New York City FC; 8/0), Alan Soñora (FC Juárez/MEX; 2/0)

FORWARDS (6): Cade Cowell (San Jose Earthquakes; 3/0), Jesús Ferreira (FC Dallas; 18/8), Julian Gressel (Vancouver Whitecaps/CAN; 2/0), Jordan Morris (Seattle Sounders; 52/11), Brandon Vazquez (FC Cincinnati; 3/1), Alex Zendejas (Club América/MEX; 3/1)

Ewe. Didn't realize the roster was being completely turned over.

I'll be praying both the US and Germany bring full squads for their October friendly.

Yeah I’m hoping the same for the October window vs Ghana in Nashville. May try to get there for it.

Excited to get a look at some guys though on the bigger stage. Cowell, Zandejas, Busio, Reynolds. Thought Neal was excellent last summer so will be good to see him again. I don’t follow mls hardly at all so I don’t see these guys play much.

Well only two of those guys play in MLS so you wouldn't be seeing much

Default USA - 2026 World Cup Champions

I meant the rest of the roster! Poor phrasing on my part.
