I was a little surprised they took away the 5 minute major against Dumba for that hit on Pavelski. I'm sure there can be endless debates on whether it's just a physical game, blah blah blah, but not sure where the video evidence came to take it off the board once it was called. Huge point of the game given Domi took a penalty and the result just being 4-4 play

Yeah, I don't understand why they removed the penalty. That's like Scott Steven's 90s hockey play right there.

Nope. Was shoulder to shoulder, no charging, didn't leave his feet before contact. Borderline late hit at worst. Majors are allowed to be reviewed and the refs felt it only deserved a minor penalty.

It was a very good round 1 for teams who's defense is a strong part of their calling cards. It will be interesting to see if the Devils can get the offense unleashed against a pretty veteran Rangers team, for example.

I honestly don't see them winning a game this series but maybe that's because, even if they do, they are likely going to lose anyways? Plus I don't think they are as good as last years team, at least not as far as gelling and playing goes.
They seem a mess out there.
Bunting received a 3 game suspension. It's like Kadri part 2 all over again.

Probably a blessing in disguise, guy is an absolute liability out there. You can’t get any higher up on the ref #@#@#@#@ list than Bunting.

I really have no faith in Toronto this year and I honestly won't care if they lose once again.
Personally, I hope Edmonton does well/goes far as my CDN hope team.
Other than that, I really have no horse in the race other than hoping Dallas and the Kraken do well. Just not into it this year for some reason?
