Surprised it took Nike that long to cut ties with Kyrie.

Nike should be branded as the racists they are.

I think that started happening in 2008 when SJWs were programmed and given a voice.

It was already rumored back in May that they probably wouldn't renew his contract anyway.

I laughed when I saw the headline about Nike cutting ties with Kyrie. A company profiting from a full on slave operation is taking a moral stance against a guy who Tweeted about a documentary he watched on Amazon Prime. I. Can't. Even.

I stopped buying Nike anything a few years ago. I stand with Enes Kanter. Fortunately, there are so many quality apparel brands these days that it's easy to opt for something else when you're getting a superior product.

Perfectly stated. I own no Nike clothing or shoes. No plans to anytime soon.

They're much like a lot of people with positions of power. They hold their finger up to see which way the wind is blowing and listen to the crowds chants for approval. Remember they sided with Kaepernick even gave him a contract for his SWJ antics.

Not much has changed over the last few thousand years.

Perfectly said.

Kohls always have some nice shorts that cost 25% of Nikes that were not created by slave getting paid 1/2 $0.01 hour.

Figured when they stopped the release of his last shoe that it would be the end of their relationship.

Since nobody will say it, he tweeted about a documentary that denied the holocaust.

Let me remind all of you since none of you remember your 7th grade history class.

6 million people were killed. Let me say it a second time. 6 million.

And this was less than 100 years ago.

Regardless of your political affiliations, I think we can all agree that genocide of that nature is horrific.

And a famous person like Kyrie Irving has a moral responsibility to be smarter than a lightbulb.

You need to do a little more research dude. Kohls pulls the same crap as all these other clothing companies.

That wasn’t even the worst part of it. It was the multiple press conferences in the following days where he refused to take responsibility or address the issues with the post

Remember if you participate in the broader economy capitalism in general- so buy iPhones, clothes, shoes you likely purchase products made by children/slave labor.
Nike is an evil corporation but so is basically most all of them.

Having views and opinions about societal issues that your community faces sounds like something that should resonate with all Americans. It's how all progress has been made in this country is people see injustice, and raise their voice and make their presence known.
But what do I know. I only served in 5 combat zones.

You'd think at least a few of these athletes would just start their own shoe brand. Sure the money is good $75 mill for 5 years or whatever it is. But think bigger like Yeezy, Billions. If Nike is paying them $75 million they're probably making a billion off them in sales. They're no dummies i'll give them that.

For sure. It's virtually impossible to completely wash your hands of these things. But I try to be as environmentally and socially conscious as possible regarding the choices I make as a consumer. If the choice is cellphone or no cellphone, well... I'm kinda stuck if I want to function in modern day America. If the choice is Nike or any of dozens of other athletic apparel brands, I go for other, and I'm comfortable paying a premium. I research every clothing brand I buy from anymore. I assume Under Armour, Adidas, Reebok, etc. are similar enough to Nike, so I avoid them too, but Nike is the brand who tries to play socially moral angle above all others.
