I liked the idea on this last year, but the cards were really poor quality. In hand, cards looked amateurish. I ended up including almost all of the cards as filler in packages that I sent out.

I sold a ton of these last year and am still selling them actually, after keeping a lot for PC. Did quite well then but of course it was a different market. If the price point is £100 again then it still works in my opinion depending on configuration and auto checklist. Higher than that and it gets tough.

The card design actually looks pretty good.....It'll depend on price point and checklist.....nice to see Ronaldo (i.e. the original one) have a card....

Have to say, though, that I find it kinda depressing that promos these days often don't even have images of the base cards....

Martin Keown starting to sign is interesting. I don't know if Topps / Panini are paying more these days but it's interesting to see some 80s/90s guys like Lineker, Merson, Ince, Keown, and Robson suddenly start signing after signing next to nothing in the last 20 years.

At least 1 if they put him on the checklist. But like other releases… it may literally be just 1 in the product.

This was a bad rip last year. It will be a bad rip this year. And unless people don’t buy it, it will be a bad rip next year.

Some of the card designs last year looked pretty nice, but in hand they felt flimsy and they were all really dark. It just ended up looking pretty cheap.

Deco is back for 2022/23!

‘Deco’ designs are rooted 1920/30’s style, featuring the best from UEFA Champions League and Europa League.
Subsets include: Current stars, Legends, Dual and triple autos, Then & Now, Prodigy, Golden Greats and 'artistry' illustrated cards. Numbered parallel cards and autograph card in every box.

Configuration:
- 196 total cards in the set.
- 80 cards per box (10 packets of 8 cards).
- 2 Numbered parallels card per box.
- 1 Autograph card per box.

Was gonna get 2 from Topps Spain and it went out of stock. A little over 120 a box delivered, not terrible.

General comments.....mostly related to the checklist....

- How do you manage to have a 196-card checklist without Pulisic in it ???? He's only the most popular player in the country with the largest collector base...

- What's with the fact that many of the legends in Finest Flashbacks aren't in Deco (for example, Baresi, Maldini, Schmeichel, Cantona, Zola, etc.) Likewise, why didn't some of the legends from Deco have cards in Finest Flashbacks (Bergkamp, Rijkaard, Van Basten, Ronaldo, etc.)? They certainly would have been better choices for the checklist than Roberto Di Matteo, Dirk Kuyt, and Henrik Larsson.....

I'd like to see doubles/triples of retired players from the same team included...would love to have seen a Baresi/Maldini dual auto (they were both in Finest Flashbacks), or a Cantona/Keane/Scholes triple auto (likewise).

I'm just glad they added more double autos than last year when there were only 5. Add the additional numbered parallel, all being /99 or less, for the same price as last year, and this seems like a winner.

It’s a byproduct of the sticker situation they are all in and the desire to maximize profit. They have to get x number of autos and they already have y number of stickers… might as well make them “club legends” because people are going to buy it regardless.

If you move to hard signed, you still get some of that (you know ahead of time what your contract is and how much they cost) but you don’t have 5 years of extra stickers laying around as unused resources.
