Default Where is your PSA pile coming from?

Just curious.
Saw another thread asking to show your pile of cards heading to PSA when they open back up.
Where the heck are people even getting cards from these days? Cases online? Paying scalper prices? Buying singles on eBay that are grade worthy? Stockpile from months and months ago?

People gambling busting boxes have to get paid back somehow.

eBay singles/COMC/Blowout FS/LCS/CL

There is no shortage of cards, just a shortage of unopened wax.

Understood.
There is just a shortage of retail price cards which is what I usually have submitted to PSA in the past.

I have never understood this question. For some reason, if I have a 200 or 300 card lot of "Rookie X" I will have people message me and ask how I have so many. What? I bought them, how else does people acquire anything tangible? Without my own printing press, I believe that is the only option for obtaining them.

Yep - that’s my strategy... paying $$ for them

You work with people who collect? I've never worked with another person who collects.

Oh, got it. I will just buy graded cards on ebay or MySlabs. Rarely grab sealed boxes

I don’t send in cards for grading, but I’ve gotten my recent cards how I always do: singles on eBay.

I get the vast majority of my cards direct from Topps.

Are there gradeable raw cards at card shows? Or it just depends on the show? Haven't been in years. And find raw, worthy of grading, has gotten tougher as more folks have entered the grading market.

To date, I primarily purchase from Ebay and Facebook. Toss in some Tweeeeeeeter too.

Eagle Eye Joe finds BGS Black Label 10s all the time at card shows.

None of my graded have been group breaks and COMC. Most from my collection, some from eBay and a little from groups.

i don't get it did ebay and/or card shops just disappear? If you don't want to pay inflated prices doesn't mean thousands of others won't.
