Default 2021 Panini NFL Draft NFT Blockchain 1/1

Looks like Panini is now trying to cash in on the NFT craze.

But isn’t NFT and Blockchain already the same thing. Maybe I’m missing something, but I was under the assumption that they’re essentially utilizing the same technology. Seems redundant to state both, but I’m sure I’m missing a key element

Those NFTs will be on the Panini Blockchain so no difference, it appears though they’re changing the wording to use “NFT” instead of Digital Cards.

That’ll be Trevor Lawrence’ first NFT as a Jaguar, wondering where that’ll end up in the English Auction.

What’s not real about it? It’s on a blockchain and is an NFT. You mightn’t like that it’s on a private blockchain, but that doesn’t disqualify it.

Do you see what Panini Blockchain cards sell for? There are maybe 5 cards total right now that would sell for over $10,000. Hope someone doesn't get burned big time spending over $10,000 on one of these thinking they are going to make huge money.

The NFT is the item. Blockchain is the technology.

E.g. painting (blockchain) is an art form and the Mona Lisa (NFT) is an item produced by that art form.

It would surprise me when the Trevor Lawrence 1/1 goes for less than that. It’ll be his very first official NFT in a Jaguars jersey.

With TOPPS cashing in on MLB NFTs it’s IMO just a matter of time until Panini opens up and tries to attract the crypto crowd too.

So Lawrence 1st official base NFT Blockchain card is worth big money? A Zion/Morant Prizm Dual Logoman Rookie dual auto 1/1 sold for $7,500. Zion/Morant Flawless rookie dual Logoman 1/1 $6,000. Zion/Lebron Flawless dual Logoman 1/1 sold for $12,000. The Zion Immaculate and NT Logoman auto 1/1s I have never seen an offer for either one above $10,000. They have been listed for months. All of these physical cards are worth well over $100,000. So how is a Trevor Lawrence NFL Draft base card 1/1 is worth more than $500? A Mickey Mantle NT 1/1 auto sold for $1,000. This should be worth way more than the Lawrence. Tom Brady 1/1 Prizm NFL shield auto $1000. Zion/Morant Prizm rookie auto patch 1/1 $629. There was at least 1 Justin Herbert auto patch 1/1 that sold for under $1,500. I could go on and on. Any cards listed in the public gallery or for auction you can see the sales history. If it's a really huge first sale it's because those came with physical cards.

I'm someone that has followed Blockchain for over a year. Right now the vast majority of these digital cards are worthless or worth less than 10% of the physical card. The Trevor Lawrence physical card Draft Night 1/1 sold for $2,000. So in theory this Blockchain card isn't even worth the minimum bid of $250. Doesn't mean things can't change. This is where Panini Blockchain stands right now.

Panini’s own website says it’s cards are not nft’ s. Real nft’s are are tied digital ledger tied to bitcoin, ethereum waxp etc. The point is to be decentralized, not centralized under panini’s own block chain. They are missing out, now that topps nft is blowing up.

You’ve a link to that Panini statement?

I actually agree that market transparency on Panini Blockchain is a complete mess, that’s why it’s also extremely difficult to price these NFTs accurately right now.

Nevertheless the TOPPS MLB NFT release showed what people are willing to pay for pretty much the exact same core product. Though TOPPS prices are probably still heavily inflated by early Crypto/WAXP owners, so it should not always be compared 1:1 with USD.
Panini was probably too conservative by designing their “Hyperledger Sawtooth” Blockchain completely private and USD based, hence the Crypto whales won’t bite.
The technology they have allows to correct this course to go with a public BC and accept crypto currencies as well and I’m sure they’ll not let only TOPPS cash in while they sit on way more sport licenses they could utilize.

The cards are now online. They’re actually Video animated. A bit of a cartoon style, but not bad IMO:

The whole lineup:

Trevor Lawrence:
https://www.paniniamerica.net/2021-p...rence-1-1.html

I still doubt though that they can go anywhere near the TOPPS Trevor Lawrence sale on Mintable without Crypto Currencies (which sold for 233k, but with a physical card included).

Well you can't see what the final prices actually are (at least I don't see a way), but the TL was at $10,500 with a couple seconds left. Sometimes I think people have lost their minds....and maybe they have

If you go to Blockchain you can see them under recently sold. Yes the TL sold for 10.1k, Trey Lance for 6.1k, Justin Field for 3.8k and the other 4 between 2-3k.

It only takes 1 moron, but go look at the prices of some huge Blockchain cards that aren't worth anywhere near $10,000. $6.1k for a painted art card NFT 1/1 of Trey Lance gtfo. While the Trevor Lawrence is ridiculous too, I think everyone assumes Lawrence is gonna sell for triple what Lance does.

If you think these NFT cards that sold today are worth anywhere remotely close to actual market value go look at all the Blockchain cards you can buy that should be worth way more than these for way les. The guy who has the Zion/Ja NT Rookie Logoman 1/1 listed bought it for $6k. I don't think he would turn down $12k. That card should be worth at least 100 times that Trey Lance 1/1.

NFT is something that is really popular now, and a lot of companies use it to attract new audience or make money.
It's a cool thing for me, and I don't see anything bad in creating or buying it

"I heard that there would be such a thing, but I thought that it would cost a fortune, so I hadn't even checked it. But now I'm curious, and I need some help.
For example, here is the link https://www.paniniamerica.net/2022-p...autograph.html to Blockchain Barry Sanders 1/1 NFL Patch Autograph. And now the price $ 51,346.94, which is pretty high. But on the page, you can see the price reduction timer.

Yep, unless someone buys it for a little more than nothing before you. It's a Dutch Auction.

Yeah Dutch Auction so the card will most likely be purchased on Friday (you also get the NFT with the Physical gift).
Price might be inflated now by his Instagram pump, but that’s usually a 1k+ Card.
