Does every BGS slab need to have a patent number at the bottom to be real? I have an upper deck auto that doesn’t have the patent number but checks out otherwise. Let me know your experience, thanks

Just so i understand what the question is, the card is slabbed in a BGS holder without the patent number?

They do not all have the patent number, no. Does your have the mini auto grade chip? I don't believe any of those cases have the patent numbers on them.
Here's an example, and I know it's legit because I had it graded myself:

If the auto grade is on the front. There is NO number at the bottom.

I think you are fine. As far as I know, BGS slabs do NOT have the patented numbers for autograph cards as well as some thick cards.

Old bgs slabs don't have the parent number.
