2018 optic doncic cover art

I was looking at boxes of 2018 optic on ebay and I realized some of them have an "example" of a doncic optic rookie on the box...the problem is, it is nothing like the actual card. I have never noticed this before. Has this happened before where the cover art differs from the actual product? Also it has taken me almost three years to notice this...so I'm a dummy

The cover art looks way nicer than the actual card for sure. Talk about false advertising. I thought they only did that with redemptions? Lol!

I totally agree. They should have gone with that picture for the base.

They should definitely have used that image for his Optic card. Felt like more of an action shot, even if it was staged. Have seen Panini switch it up like that before.

Before the 19-20 Optic release, they were showing off mock ups of Zions base card, which they ended up actually using for his autographed cards instead of his base. The autograph base image was wayyyy better than the duck faced holding the ball depressed image they ended up using.
