Default Spike Lee Done For The Season

Looks like spike lee got his feelings hurt and he’s saying he’s not going to the garden again for the rest of the season. He wanted to continue using the employee elevator after being told not to (lol they have a vip elevator for him) and told security guards to “arrest me like my brother Charles Oakley”. Swallow your pride spike.... https://www.nba.com/article/2020/03/...cks-home-games

Does this hurt the Knicks chance at a title this year?

If what Spike Lee said in the article is true, I side with him as well.

given how consistently awful dolan is, is there any reason we all wouldn't be on Spike's side? really don't understand anyone siding with or believing the knicks here.

Spike is 100% in the right here. Dolan is an absolute clown, worst owner in professional sports.

idk...the whole "arrest me like my brother Oakley" is enough to make his "martyrdom" over the top. you'd swear he was MLK jr.

Nah, he’s acting like a spoiled brat. Another entitled celebrity that’s causing a scene because he’s not getting what he wants.

I’ve never liked Spike. I’d rather take his side than that jerk-off owner. He’s made the Knicks into a raging dumpster fire.

LMAO is it even considered martyrdom to point out that the knicks have a history of treating their biggest supporters terribly? Not sure what MLK has to do with this at all, but you do you.

let's see you get kicked out of something you've financially supported for decades for no reason at all, and then harassed by their billionaire owner and then tell us the billionaire was right, LOL

To me it’s not even about Dolan. I don’t care for him either and if he was wanting special treatment and crying when he doesn’t get it I would disagree as well.

martyrdom was sarcasm, as was MLK, because of the arrest me like my brother Oakley, sort of like how protesters of civil rights were (they were actually doing something productive). Thats how it came off, like he was so downtrodden.

Or one could look at it the complete opposite. This is an employee elevator, one they don’t want him to use anymore. Security tried to get him to get off and go another route, he whined and went to a different floor. There he would have had to go outside and back in but they caved to his whining and allowed him to go a different way in the garden. Spike is yelling at these guards throwing a tantrum lol. Then when Dolan tries to speak to him about it he acts like a brat some more. He already gets special treatment for supporting them but it’s not enough.

What a weird situation. What a bad time to be a die-hard Knick fan. I don't care for Spike or Dolan. Both seem in the wrong... as we do here in NYK land.

This. As much as I hate Dolan, this is pathetic behavior.

Dolan's got to sell the team. Awful.

If I owned a team i'd bend over backwards to accommodate celebrities and big dollar customers. I'd be crazy not to.

I saw this on First Take as I was getting ready to leave home to come to work... the Knicks are trying to "rebrand" their look? This is NOT a good look! lol

Dolan is an idiot... do I need to say more? lol No wonder the Knicks are on the bottom year after year...
