Default Sooo I sold a car don eBay...

Michael Jordan Meltdown for $118. Winner went to a zero feedback buyer in Singapore named Michael Jordan. Cancel, right? I mean, maybe MJ is on vaca and wanted to see one of his cards.

You need to change your settings so feedback under 10 etc can't bid.

I would not send that card but you never know

Is his account name a bunch of weird characters? or is his account name Michael Jordan?

If it's just a bunch of weird characters, it means he created a new ebay account. If you don't choose your own login name, eBay will create one for you filled with random characters. (literally like SDdfjlknfkdfsj@)

I don't think it does... just negative feedback can be blocked.

Everyone starts at 0... Most of the time the lower feedback guys pay the quickest...but I agree... not sure I'd send to Singapore.

$120 in US with tracking... I'd do it.

A buyer won and paid for an auction, why wouldnt you send it? If you wanted Singapore excluded that should have done when listing the card.

I did have my settings set to only ship to US and Canada. I state in my listing description that I will also ship to Europe for an additional cost. For some reason eBay decided that all international bidders could participate. My auction page does say “ships worldwide” but that is not how I set it up. Not sure what’s going on there.

I’m not so hung up on the fact that it’s a zero feedback account. I ship to zero feedback accounts all the time.

It’s not the fact that it’s shipping to Singapore, even though an absolute boatload of fraud comes out of that area.

It’s the sum of the two, coupled with the fact that the buyer’s name on the account is MICHAEL JORDAN.

For full disclosure I also don’t send my credit card info to Chinese email spammers looking to help me refi my home with names like Steve Jason or Jenny Maria. But who knows, maybe they’re legit. Everyone starts somewhere right?

All good points, in the future you may want to try ebays global shipping program. You mail it to them and they take care of the rest. They assume all responsibility for the item after they receive it. Saves a lot of hassle.

There are roughly 3100 people in the usa named Michael Jordan. No idea how many overseas.

Wasnt the new Creed named jordan too?

I’ve been avoiding GSP for a while. Think you’re right that I should check it out though.

With the GSP, as long as your card gets to the distribution center, you are good to go. I don't like the GSP as it is super expensive for customers in other countries, but I am covered if I send it out. Super easy to use. I don't understand why anyone would not use it.

I used to sell a lot of hockey. It is cheaper to send USPS first class with tracking to Canada than it was to use GSP. I just started selling Basketball. Wasn’t aware it was a more international market.

I didn't ready a single response here but as far as I'd be concerned, if they pay for the card, I ship. Especially if it's via eBay global shipping. You send the card to eBay, they take it from there. Never had an issue.

As long as he gets the item and you get the money, I don't see why you'd be willing to make any of this your problem.

I also wonder if you even can make this a problem. Will Ebay let you cancel the deal at all?

Ditto! I only sell internationally (other than Canada) via GPS. Too many things can go wrong if you don't use it.
