Are the Mets still playing baseball? That's cute. They try so hard.

Should have been Martinez a while ago!

Agree that Martinez should've been fired already.

I'll say Callaway, though. With Martinez, if he hasn't already been let go by now... and they're playin well now.

The Mets had expectations this year. They've had a lot of injury problems, but the fact that their pitching has pretty much regressed across the board, that's unacceptable when your manager has a pitching background. He seems like he's nearly lost the team and is just expecting the axe at this point.

They're also in 4th place, 6.5 back, and 6 games under.

It's comical at this point. Mets postgame:

Callaway - Nobody's been frustrated

DeGrom - The goal is to win baseball games. When we don't, everybody's frustrated

The hot take was Girardi is waiting to take over before they play the Yankees next week.

But geez can him after 1.5 yrs? They're what, 4gb of a wild card at this point?

Maybe at the end of the season...but knowing how they operate they will probably can him sooner. The Mets front office seems to let the fans amd media guide their decisions at times.

He's just so lost, though. They made win now moves, and the only time they've played well recently is when their ragtag bunch of Carlos Gomez, Rajai Davis, and Hechavarria caught fire.

DeGrom and Mesoraco were on the same page last year, and they dominated together. So what do they do? Kick Mesoraco to the curb. Now he's clicking with Nido, and they refuse to name him DeGrom's guy (one of the stated reasons being it would screw things up in the playoffs!!). It's just all so stupid. He's lost the team.. if he ever had it.

Don’t forget about D’arnaud! Could’ve cut him this offseason, but noooo. Let’s pay the man $3 mil and then cut him after 10 games.

The entire organization is lost.

Owners say we can’t sign two $30 mil players, that’s ludicrous.... so lets aquire 36yr old Caño, bring him to the NL, and pay him $100 mil!

Or, we HAVE to sit McNeil. He has a scheduled offday and there’s no way to get around that. The guy is only hitting .340 and played two games in row! Basically the next Cal Ripken Jr.. The man needs his rest. Plus we need to make sure Todd Frazier is in the lineup everyday.

But we can’t fire Mickey. He’s making $800k

Nothing makes sense

Add Brandon Hyde to this list

As an O’s fan I was all about giving this man a chance to replace Buck but through 2 months of ball it’s a no brainer Hyde is not the right fit in Baltimore. Watching countless careless plays from poor defensive positions. Continuously pitching to Gleyber Torres and Gary Sanchez when both have dominated an owned the Orioles so far is a head a scratcher.

May be over his head with the rebuilding when top Os executives keep optioning the younger talent to Norfolk yet these guys are to be the face of the franchise

That team is terrible. I mean, would you say that even HALF of their roster is major league quality?

He had them playing spirited ball out of the gate. But eventually bad players are going to play bad baseball.

Hopefully our Mickey will get the ax. Yeah the Mets still play baseball and we love them. Liking Yankees around here mean you didn’t try too hard when picking a team to stick with or you were forced by a family member.

This isn't his fault, because Diaz and Familia are supposed to be their best two relievers. But this Mets team is a disaster.

Omg. This perfectly sums up everything about the Mets and their illogical logic.

At least we will get a ROY out of it just like we get CY young’s but never a WS ring or playoffs. The day we finally have a MVP is the year we turn the corner from this curse. Things haven’t been the same since Strawberry got robbed in ‘88

How is Scott Servais not on this list. Since their 14-2 start the team has been in freefall. Now they traded away all their stars but I saw this team in person and they look disinterested at best.
