So I’m starting to transition from primarily football to more of a mix between football, basketball, and baseball. I’ll buy a hobby box here and there, but with no LCS within an hour, if I get the itch to open packs, I have to go Retail. For you baseball experts, what would be your top 5 annual retail products? I know Heritage is coming out shortly and that will be one, but what else do you guys recommend?

It would be the same products as hobby, but their are some retail exclusive releases & special inserts in most other releases. The answer for retail changes each year w/production numbers as well as the checklist & retail additives making it hard to know before hand.

Although hard to find, I enjoyed ripping both Bowman Sterling and Topps Fire this past year.

As far as actually getting hits,
1. Heritage 2. Topps Chrome (green is Retail exclusive I believe) 3. Bowman (green Refractor autos are definitely exclusive 4. Gypsy Queen, I have always done well getting autos. Harper and Seager /25 in 2016. As for Retail exclusives 1. Bowman mega boxes if they do them again. 2. Topps Chrome Update 3. Bowman platinum |

I only collect Titans in football and focus more on prospects in baseball and rookies in basketball. Here are my favorites
Panini Prizm basketball-odds of a nice auto or rare hit are really high but silver Prizm RCs are so hot that they alone make it worth a rip. Panini Optic basketball-think of it as a Prizm “lite” Bowman Mega Box-beautiful cards that were tough to find on the shelf Topps Update baseball-people started identifying update RCs as one of the better and more sought after RCs of stars Topps Chrome baseball-always a solid release and desirable RCs Topps Heritage baseball-beautiful set popular among set builders with all its SPs I didn’t really think any of the football retail was worth busting this year. The long odds of pulling decent autos steered me away and most have a retail exclusive auto checklist that included mostly undrafted guys and defensive players.

Bowman is always a good choice. I also enjoyed and had good luck with Stadium Club and Donruss Optic as well. Can't go wrong with Flagship either
