Cool Brewers Sign Lorenzo Cain

Wow. They're going for it.

#Brewers in agreement with free-agent outfielder Lorenzo Cain, sources tell The Athletic. Deal is pending a physical.

Good, maybe they are going to trade Braun for pitching. I am a little confused why they signed Cain just after they dealt for Yelich.

We might have to call the Brewers owner Michael Corleone. He settles all family business today.

Except they can't trade Braun without his approval.

I'm waiting for a Ryan Braun salary dump trade to the White Sox soon. Corey Ray would go to Chicago as well as a bonus for picking up Braun's salary. Yolmer Sanchez 2B could go back to Milwaukee.

I'd start Domingo over Cain personally. Both are good defenders but Domingo has the offensive edge. 5 year 80 mill is too much for Cain.

Braun wouldn't waive his NTC for the White Sox.

That is a serious 1-2 uppercut. Big time speed in the outfield. Two solid .300 hitters with gap-to-gap line-drive power. Very impressive.

True, but I would think Braun would welcome a fresh start somewhere else. Time will tell what happens.

Yup. Yelich and Cain are really good players. To add both in the same day has to be extremely exciting for Brewers fans. Good for them.

His career .290 avg is good. Should go up in a hitters park. His career best 16 hrs might jump a little but i'd rather have Santana who is younger and cheaper and had a better 2017.

I'm not so sure about that. If he stays in Milwaukee, he's on the bench. White Sox, he could split time in LF with Delmonico and DH the other half. Better chance of staying healthy.

Must have been easy on them to trade Brinson in the Yelich trade knowing Cain was gonna sign with them.

Good point. Best of luck trying to pitch through this lineup.

He's not getting younger and White Sox are not close to winning anytime soon.
