Anyone Play Diablo 2?

Anyone ever play Diablo 2? They still update the Ladder Seasons twice a year, but it gets run down very quickly.

But I'm bored so I logged in today lol.

Man what a GREAT game!!!

I've been waiting on the Necromancer class to come out on D3 (PS4)

anybody know when??? I'm ready to play it like crazy again lol

I remember readin about it, I thought it said early 2017 but might have been wrong.

i played it a ton in high school and then college. I only had dial-up in high school, so my online interactions were very limited to just my best friend late-night (so the phone line wasn't tied up).

when i got to college (and high speed internet), me and my dorm mates played all the time. Even after i left hte dorms, I played a ton with my roommate in the house we rented together.

I was always the Amazon freeze class, and used the Valkyrie power for an extra meatshield as well as an amazon ranged helper. One roommate ran a paladin, another ran a mage, and the last one (that I played the most with) was a Necromancer that constantly had skeletons and golems around. dude just kept fielding an army of corpses.

i think the most fun I had might have been the 4 player cow-level run we did. Since the damage and health of the enemies stacked for the number of players, that got extremely crazy. I remember just freezing walls of cows to make sure we didn't get hemmed in and trapped. We had to kite a lot, and there were multiple town portals so we didn't get stuck with only one way in or out and then got surrounded. Still died a lot. I ended up getting the cow armor, which served my character for a long time as I did multiple playthroughs on the game.

I used to Do West HC Classic when I would Bot on East. This way if I got R/D I could still play lol.

Got confused one day though, was like 55th on the HC ladder, and doing a chaos run. Didn't realize I was on my other computer so I didn't have chicken on. Turned away as I teleported, looked back and bam, dead. FML lol.

OMG you two literally nailed my top 3 characters in back to back posts.

D3 will never be D2. But, it's now the game both my wife and I have played the longest by far. Wife is playing right now actually.

It's well worth another look if it's been a while...

While, I love Diablo 1, He led us into a trap, and now everyone is dead. Killed by a demon he called the Butcher, but my god walking SLOW AF in that game kills it now lol.

Diablo 3 is definitely better now than what it was in the beginning by far.

I may try Diablo 2 out. I do not believe I ever played that one...I did play through Diablo 1 though.

D2 was hands down the best one

One of the things they replicated in the Diablo 1 20th anniversary event in D3 last month was the walking in eight directions.

Luckily they didn't restrict the walking speed so we were able to run the dungeons as speedy chickens (Witch Doctor) when trying to complete the named demons achievement.

having played all 3, D2 is hands down the best one. Be sure to get the expansions as well for some added content.

Reading up on Diablo 2 it sounds like there are some issues running it on current versions of Windows...is this the case?

I remember hearing some issues, but I don't think theres many problems, or hard to get around issues.

I know for me, I have to Run as administrator. They had another issue like 6 months ago, but its since been fixed I think. I know my computers are all older but I don't have any issues other than running as administrator.

As for the JSP comment, just made 500fg last night haha. Good enough to gear w/e I want this ladder, and a good hedge for the start of the New LAdder Season in November.

If anyone wants to play, US EAST LADDER is the best imo.
