Even factoring in age, decline and the injury risk going forward you would think he's a virtual lock for 500 homers.
Because of that contract he will get the Pujols treatment and get at-bats into his forties. If he plays out the contract and is available for 60-70% of the games he will get his 500.

I thought that about Stanton and, well, here we are…

Yeah guys (especially guys that size) can go south very quickly so I was probably overstating the case a bit.

That said, Judge is a different caliber of player. He's far better than Stanton ever was.

What a shame that he couldn't stay healthy this season. Seeing back to back 60 HRs would've been cool. The injury issue is only going to get worse going forward. With his injury history, big guys not aging well, and going into his age 32 season, I wouldn't want to buy his cards at current prices

And then decided that you should be the person to tell his fanbase when to and not to buy his cards. I love it

Not allowed to give an opinion on where card prices will go on a card forum?

I'm glad he's doing good...nothing but good for the game.

I've heard this story every year since 2017.

2017 was his second year in the majors, you must have made up in your head that someone was saying "this story back then" and most of it wouldn't apply because big guys can obviously still crush through their 20s. Part of what I said about big guy aging poorly, would not apply to a 25 year old Aaron Judge

Exactly. people have been doubting him since day 1. Time for them to just admit they were wrong and move forward.

I hope so. I thought the same thing about Stanton when he signed with the Yankees.

Please give us examples of big guys aging badly. For every HOF-track big guy whose career was derailed by his huge body, I'm sure there are 2-3X as many with the same body type who had 20-year careers and are already enshrined.

How many hitters over 6'5 are in the hof? All I can think of is Winfeld. Thomas was right at that height. Most guys have been about 5'10 to 6'4.
