Yeah, I have 200 cards due Oct 29 that are totally untouched. National subs are around the two month mark and are also untouched.

I wouldn't count on anything less than the full four months for bulk.

I hear ya. I got completely creamed on a large sub of low end 90s basketball during the submission special last year. Something like 70% EX-NM, usually for very minor corner or edge wear. The most frustrating thing was a lot of these were cards I had bought from the main condition bucket on COMC and kept in good condition. Also you could see plenty of visibly worse condition cards in the main bucket.

Not sending 90s cards to them in that volume to them ever again.

It's just a matter of who you get listing your cards it seems. I sent in 1500 cards (lots of 1990-2010 era stuff) during the summer promotion and had maybe 10-20 cards listed in the EX-NM bucket (and they really deserved it). A few times in the past I've been slammed, and I do a correction request protesting the designation, and they take it off and add it to the raw bucket maybe 50% of the time.

There are two other copies on the site which might be grandfathered in (https://www.comc.com/Cards/Wrestling...et_Sky/4539577), but there are also way more questionable cards in the set like #102 Jenna Morasca (https://www.comc.com/Cards/Wrestling...orasca/4539661
) that might disqualify rest of the set.

Payment processors are notoriously censorious and fickle about adult content and might have tightened down the standards of what they allow COMC to sell. There's content that's legal to produce and view under United States law that payment processors refuse to allow people to buy or sell using payment cards over the Internet.

I fought COMC customer support over this same exact set, they said they marked the entire set as offensive and let people who already had the cards posted grandfather in to allow them to still sell, but not any new ones. I shot back at them where is the list of offensive sets so I know what not to send in? Of course they ignored me.

I've run into the same thing. I have my submissions due on 10/18 and nothing had been processed until 4 days ago. They are starting to be worked on now. Following that logic, you should start to see some movement in the next day or so.

Keep an eye out for Bedard YG exclusives 005/100. Came up in a hockey card discord group I am a part of. A guy had the exclusives on epack, moved to COMC and sent to PSA, went to ship his card home and he noticed COMC mistakenly put a deluxe /250 in his account.

COMC reached out to the guy that got the exclusives and he refused to send it back. They are considering the card stolen and reached out to PSA. PSA has deactivated the cert. They offered $5k to the guy that lost his card.

I'm curious about the legal aspects of this. It sucks for the rightful owner but does whoever ended up with the /100 exclusives card have a legal obligation to return it? COMC may consider it stolen property but it wasn't stolen. There was no crime committed, just a mix-up. Possession of stolen property shouldn't apply, right?

The rightful owner could presumably find a lawyer and sue whoever ended up with the /100 exclusives card. The lawyer might first have to convince COMC to reveal the identify of this person.

This could get very messy. As whom is the bad guy. To me it is the guy who will not return it. Maybe he should ask for a little finder's fee. Police, Lawyers and middlemen will make it worst.

Agreed what a mess. It’s true the person in the wrong is the person not sending the wrong back, but as BobCollects pointed out being in the wrong here is a lot different than the actual legal question regarding ownership. If in fact ownership of COMC cards in fine print somewhere is defined as in the possession of the comc user account with said card, then COMC may have an argument it’s stolen, even if the guy who mistakenly got it did nothing and just passively received the wrong card (it’s still owned by someone else).

If someone got a wrong item from say Amazon, maybe a fancy $250 blu ray box set instead of the $10 book they ordered, what is the status of that? I bet some people out there would keep that even though I think it’s in the wrong, but im not sure what the legality of it would be. They are, after all, just being sent something. The thing with that is Amazon is so big and likely wouldn’t care. But it’s not like it was owned by another user like the COMC situation.

COMC simply cannot be doing this, especially for a card this valuable. Things like this should be triple or quadrupled checked- I’m talking like cards into the multiple thousands. It’ll be a costly mistake.

I imagine they are offering $5k to the rightful owner just to wash their hands of it, and in that scenario the guy not returning it kind of makes out since he’ll likely remain with the card but also kind of doesn’t since the card’s been deactivated and blemished now with that serial number. That scenario is actually better than offering the guy not returning it the $5k to return it, because then he totally makes out, with the money and not a tarnished card. So I get the logic of offering the reward to the guy who go shafted. Frankly looking at prices I’d be tempted to just take that $5k. I think I saw a regular PSA 8 for sale $11k obo with no one buying it, and to have a qualifier like OC really can tank value imo (although I don’t get it here unless it’s on the back we can’t see)- but it has it and that’s all that matters. The question is would COMC negotiate, if the actual owner countered…dunno how that works.

It used to be 5000, but they moved it to 2000 a few years ago.

My general experience is that cards in the lower buckets often sell faster and can fetch a higher price than cards in the default buckets. This is particularly true if the target audience is a retail buyer, rather than a flipper or grader.
