I think sapphire 700 is close to making a jump. There's hardly any supply even at elevated prices. It's blue, shiny, and very SP.

Does it concern anyone that Sapphire print runs are going up every year? I know that print runs rising on certain parallels (e.g. rainbow foil) have suppressed values for previous year's even though they have lower print runs.

Could a similar effect come into play with Sapphire base?

Daily reader, very infrequent poster here. I was looking through my Ohtani collection and forgot I had this. Does anyone have an idea what the print run is on these? I know it’s an SP and it looks like it has more value than I originally thought. Appreciate any help.

short answer is no

rainbow foil is a bland, unnumbered parallel. very reminiscent of a TC refractor. so i wouldnt use that as an example

TC Sapphire is now THE chromium brand for baseball cards. it has neutered Topps Chrome IMO, as they are shiny AND base cards, where Topps Chrome are not shiny (refractors are not base cards, as they are a parallel)
