Most likely it never went the whole way up. It probably has a sensor and something triggered it to close. My mom's is very sensitive to spider webs.

30 degrees, windy as heck 25-35 mph sustained

Woke up at 2, didn't get back to sleep until after 4 because of the wind

Only put the trash bin out, not the recycling

Rookies on my drive in put the recycling out, now it is all over their yards.

This is what I was thinking. When we did the home inspection, they did report that the sensors were not at the recommended height.
