Bought a pack as a kid and this was in it... Until recently I didn't realize what I actually had. Finally had it graded.

Great card, you beat the odds on that one!

That is an amazing card. It must’ve been quite an experience to realize what you had. Did you just have it sitting in a binder with commons?

Yup. Also found a few other nice ones. Worth a couple bucks. A true diamond in the rough.

Thanks! It's /80, but I haven't seen one since '13, tough cards.

Nice card as well! The color really pops in your scan.

Love it! Doesn't matter if it's an insert or not. As long as it's rare shiny nineties goodness, it belongs in this thread.

I still collect Rafael Palmeiro. Picked this up yesterday. I’m happy with it. 01/25!

Just purchased one of my first decent 90's insert. Nothing crazy, but I thought it was pretty cool. Not sure if I want to hold onto it, or flip it on my COMC for the right price.

1999 Bowman's Best Kerry Wood Atomic Refractor 34/100 (jersey number to boot)

While not technically 90's, I figured it was close enough. Has a rough back right edge, hence the 7. #17/50

I was sad that I missed this but I'm glad it went to a Lofton supercollector. If you come across another one, let me know.

Looking for rare late 90's Cleveland Indians cards- if price is right.

Also possibly interested in current Indians (Not crazy about current card designs though)

That Hank Aaron auto is insane. When I went through my childhood collection - read 'plastic tubs full of cards' - the only numbered card I found was a Reggie Sanders 1999 Flair Showcase Row 1 /6000. There were more valuable cards, but the allure of my first numbered card lead me to collect Reggie.

Can't go wrong with Rubies and man these 1996 Leaf Gold Press Proofs sure do scan well.

Then a few Kaplers because he's somewhat relevant again:

Haha thanks man. Yeah other than that my childhood collection was/is rather worthless. $1 cards here and there, but a ton in real crap condition.

These last few entries are stunning. I think those 1999 Skybox Premium Star Rubies are one of the best-looking inserts of this decade.
