Roberts sucks because it's his responsibility to direct his coaching staff to prepare the pitchers for not just the regular season but also the post season. When he's yanking pitchers after 4-5 innings during the regular season when stress is low, how are the same pitchers able to possibly go 6-7 in post season? Now he's left with no true starter for tonight's win or go home game. Roberts (and Prior) both need to go.

Dunno what "ideal" means...other than in an ideal world for Dodgers, it means healthy pitchers. Assuming all the pitchers come back and are ready to go Opening Day 2025, they will have a surplus (depending on who they re-sign)...so it's possible but unlikely they will go 6 deep on SPs. The top 3 in no particular order:

Ohtani
Glasnow
Yamamoto

Then there's the rest: Buehler/Flaherty (both of their contracts are up - would think Dodgers would try to resign both though Flaherty may be too expensive...not re-upping Buehler would be a big mistake), Kershaw, Gavin Stone, Bobby Miller, Gonsolin/May (both contracts also expiring but cheap contracts).

Having written the above, if they feel good about Kershaw/Stone/Miller, they may only re-sign either Buehler or Flaherty. Long term I would go with Buehler (if forced to choose between the two) who will be less expensive (was surprise to see that Flaherty is actually a year younger than Buehler)...and this is all assuming a fully healthy Ohtani ready to go on Opening Day.

No one should be surprised by what’s happening with the Dodgers right now. Postseason baseball is all about pitching and you could argue the Dodgers have the worst out of every playoff team, including those eliminated in the wildcard.

NBA teams are all about load management now and I’m surprised we haven’t seen a stronger approach towards that with pitchers like Glasnow. Instead we saw him touch a career high in innings pitched and he broke down soon after.

Data shows MLB home field advantage means the least of any major sport. I would’ve taken a healthy Glasnow over home field advantage or even a division title.

I do relate to what TGCollector just wrote ^. I would be thrilled for the Dodgers to make a deep run into the post season, but the obvious is obvious.

SD was ESPECIALLY a bad team to go against as they need to score 5-6 runs against a very good starter before the shutdown pen comes in. That's why the broadcasters were saying the NL one seed this year is kind of a raw deal (Mets versus Fathers). Hope they catch some fire starting tonight and put up the necessary runs. Sho does track Cease well.

All that said, I'm ready to jump back in when we see some softness in high-end prices!

It was 138 innings. That's not much of a load. At some point, it's just a mechanical issue.

Any of you with experiences of receiving large offers from eBay users who haven't been active in at least a year? Are these most likely just alt-accounts trying to test the waters before reneging on payment? This is for a Sho card, FWIW, which is why I'm posting here - particularly useful if anyone has had something similar happen recently on a Sho card.
