I'm going to give up dipping. I've spent over $80 already this month on this crap. Anybody got any tips to cut the tobacco habit for good?

Depending on how much you dip, dual therapy NRT is probably recommended. Patch plus gum or patch plus losenge. Dippers tend to like the losenges more because you can just pop it in and let it sit.

Other non FDA aids like zyn pouches can be helpful.

Having quit smoking cigarettes for 5 years now I would suggest cold turkey you seem like a strong willed person and trust me all these home remedies rarely work. Just set a date slow down your dipping before that date and then stop altogether. I will say if I didn’t have my wife watching over me like a hawk I would’ve never made it 5 years.

A can usually lasts about 3/4 a day. I seriously use a lot of this stuff. I'm on roll 5 and we're 8 days into the year. I've gone through 10 rolls in 7 1/2 days.

A can is 50-60mg.

A single patch is 21mg and the higher dose losenge/gum is 4mg.

It might seem overkill but 2 21mg patches plus losenges/gum would be my recommendation. You don’t want to cut the nicotine initially. You want to try and match it to keep your brain happy while you work on the day to day of physically not chewing.

Kill the can dot org also has a ton of great resources and ideas all specific to chewing.

I'm spending around $4,000 a year on this crap. That is a whole lotta cheap boxes. Heck, that's some decent RC's for the PC right there. An extra $4,000 in savings, or an extra $4,000 in investing.
