yeah. since this was December 2020 (actually end of november but wasn't "received" until Jan 2021), it was before they changed their tiers (tier names and pricing). At the time, it was "12+ weeks".

Sent in a few at the $40/45 per card level in the same package. Those got back in May/June 2021 (which was 4-6 weeks on the site at the time).

We all know LondonGames that you will bash any grading company other than PSA. I know I will use PSA if I come across any trimmed auto cards.

BGS reopened Economy grading @ $35 a card and a turnaround time of 90 to 120 days, as of May 18th.

I just got an e-mail on this today. Ironically i just sent in like 100 cards to CSG today well. I still prefer BGS; but for nearly 1/4 of the price; 1/20 of the wait time. CSG for me is the best option right now.

I do have some cards i'm holding to send if BGS ever drops below 20$ anytime soon.

PSA , i'm just not going to waste my time with, other than maybe a few select cards.

SGC - A good fair service , just for 30$ a card; it's pricey and i don't love the slab. Looks good on certain cards, not others.

None the less; that's a good sign that PSA & BGS are close to clearing backlogs; and opening up service levels. I think the top 4 grading companies are now going to need to compete price wise. (Or maybe just BGS/CSG/SGC competing with PSA)

Sadly, all of these grading companies are crooks. The fact that they don't have guaranteed turnaround times is criminal. There are people waiting a year plus still on both PSA and BGS. BGS continues to make empty promises to customers that cards are returning soon, while they continue to push those same orders further to the back of the line. The reason things got as messy as they did is due to this very practice. How can BGS, or any company for that matter, continue to make promises to customers that their cards are returning soon, when at any time they could be flooded with expedited services that push those cards even further back? That is what is happening now, to whatever degree it is. At this point, and with BGS for many years now you had to have known what you are getting into, but the fact that people still give them a free pass and will continue to do business with them and this model is astonishing. If you're okay with it, that's cool though.

I have a good friend who has been told for 4+ months now that his cards would be returning within 4-6 weeks. Then he was told that May 1st the backlog was due to be cleared, and then expect to wait a couple weeks for slabbing and then a couple weeks for shipping. Not only does this make no sense and is utter BS, but in the interim he gets to see the $50 service returning in 1 months time, and now the $35 service opened up and stated as a 90-120 service. He is at 16 months now at $30/card and is given the run around every time he contacts his rep. No wonder this company has an F rating with the BBB.

BTW, just received an email back from the same Beckett rep. The email I sent:

If you want empty promises and a moving goalpost, this is the company for you. My friend has been super polite and cordial, which is definitely the reason he has gotten this treatment. At no point did this rep reach back out to him to let him know that all of a sudden there was a new date to have the backlog cleared. Sadly he's only been continually strung along under the guise that it takes weeks to slab and then weeks to ship. It's just constant lies and empty promises.

At least now you know that if you're in the backlog its due to be cleared by May 1st and shipped by the "end of June". Unless of course....

Sucks for me as I have 5 really big cards in this order. Sucks for him more as its an enormous order and he had requested months ago to pay more per card to get them back sooner and was denied, while at the same time told that they were returning.

Has BGS been hitting their deadline dates they give you after checking in your submission?

Sent in a 1 card express submission that was checked in on 5/19 and given a deadline date of today (5/26). It hasn't moved since they checked it in though. Still just shows "Moved to Repository".

I typically sub with PSA so I'm not as familiar with the BGS system.

Thanks. I did notice the estimated turnaround times said 2-3 weeks so the 1 week estimated date showing on the submission confused me a bit. Fully expected the 2-3 week timeframe so no biggie. Was just curious. Thanks again!

BGS received my single card submission on 05/05, My deadline was on 19/05 my status still shows "Moved to Repository".

I paid for the Standard Service.

Had my second $50 standard order w/ subs pop recently.

Sent in around 3/24/22 and was shipped yesterday. Just about two months seems in line with what was expected.
