LeBron Exquisite /99 - altered & damaged

Is there a time line of events and list of key posts for this thread? It is impossible to read the entire thing due to its size and complexity.

At this point, I wouldn't touch anything BNC is selling, unless it's a Bron trimmed Exquisite. In which case I'd pay about three fitty.

Name should be "Buy and Trim Cards!" or "Buy Trimmed Cards!"

There's a lot more though in this thread, and especially after the second summary, so I would recommend trying to go through it more earnestly from the point of the second summary on forward.

I guess what I am saying is that if we really want to warn future buyers then we need something easier to focus on then multiple threads that are pages and pages of jumbled comments and evidence. Most people that buy are not going to take the time to read and research before buying, but if there was a concise list of these scammers for these high end items it would be very easy to spread the warning to many more people. A page that had a nice little description of the accusation,evidence, photo of fraudster, and even a small video of their set up at the national

I'd like to create a small video eventually that explains why the LeBron Exquisite is such a valuable card and why this is a big deal to the hobby (something that anyone on the outside could easily understand). Trying to wait until more info is out first though.

Yeah that is what I meant. Would a mod change the title of a thread if the OP didn't respond or agree to it. I mean it's their site and they should be able to do what they please.

I think that’s one of the more puzzling things of this thread and something I’ve been asking from the beginning. How do you drop a bomb like this and not log in again? Who gave the op the info and had them post? I’ve been guessing rookies but who knows?

What do you guys think of this one? Looks like it stayed an 8.5 overall but the edges got a nice bump from 8.5 to 9.5. I personally have never done any grading so I haven't seen any of this subjectivity firsthand.

You can find nice large scans at the links. That makes it easier to see a little bit of white on the top edge above LeBron's head on the COMC version:

The top is trimmed. You can tell without even looking at the before image. The edge has an unnatural appearance. Also, without even measuring, the distance from the apex of Lebron's head and the Exquisite logo to the top of the card is shorter. The left side is probably trimmed, but sometimes the foil can reflect funny.

My side by side is probably not 100% to scale - it was thrown together quickly in Paint. We probably need one of our resident Photoshop people to look at that with the originals.
